Removal of the Check Valve
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the flaps.
Subtask 29-11-48-860-051-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002) when you do work on the hydraulic system. (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the flaps.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS or 98D27803500002 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Disconnect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 29-11-48-865-051-A (1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS or 98D27803500002 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Disconnect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

D. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable access panel 675DB.
(2) Remove the access panel 675DB.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the check valve (4).
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable access panel 675DB.
(2) Remove the access panel 675DB.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the check valve (4).

A. Removal of the Check Valve
(2) Remove the check valve (4) from the coupling nut (5).
(3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
- FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(1) Slowly disconnect the coupling nuts (1) and (3) and remove the pipe (2). Let the hydraulic fluid drain into the container. (2) Remove the check valve (4) from the coupling nut (5).
(3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
