A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the slats.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the slats are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
   (2) On the panel 114VU, install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the slat/flap control lever.
   (3) Disconnect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
   (4) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (5) Depressurize the Green hydraulic-system reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (6) Remove the safety collar from the circuit breakers 9CV and 11CV.

   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) below the applicable access panel.
   (2) Remove the applicable access panel:
     (a) FOR [1410GM] (CHECK VALVE-SLAT WTB G RETURN, L WING)
remove 522SB
     (b) FOR [1411GM] (CHECK VALVE-SLAT WTB G RETURN, R WING)
remove 622SB.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-48-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Check Valve
WARNING: DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
  • FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
  • GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
   (1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the applicable check valve.
   (2) Loosen and disconnect the coupling nuts (1) and (5). Remove the pipe (4).
   (3) Remove the check valve (2) from the coupling nut (3).
   (4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (5) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) and correctly discard the hydraulic fluid.
