Removal of the Compensated Slide
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the green hydraulic system.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 29-11-47-860-051-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the hydraulic safety precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002) when you do work on the hyraulic system. (2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the green hydraulic system.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic reservoir has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Disconnect the Isolation Coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 29-11-47-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic reservoir has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Disconnect the Isolation Coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below zone 574.
(2) Open the access panel 574AB.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the compensated slide (1).

(2) Open the access panel 574AB.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the compensated slide (1).
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below zone 574.
(2) Remove the access panel 574AB.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the access panel opening.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below zone 574.
(2) Remove the access panel 574AB.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the access panel opening.
Subtask 29-11-47-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Compensated Slide
(2) Hold the fire shut-off valve (5) and disconnect the nut (4).
(3) Compress and remove the compensated slide (1).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
- FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(1) Hold the nut (3) and disconnect the nut (2). (2) Hold the fire shut-off valve (5) and disconnect the nut (4).
(3) Compress and remove the compensated slide (1).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
