A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) On the ground service panel 197CB:
Subtask 29-11-38-941-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) On the ground service panel 197CB:
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(3) In the cockpit, on the HYD section of the HYD/FUEL panel 40VU:
Subtask 29-11-38-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) In the cockpit, on the HYD section of the HYD/FUEL panel 40VU:
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at door 437AL.
(2) Make sure that the left fan cowl door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at door 437AL.
(2) Make sure that the left fan cowl door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
Subtask 29-11-38-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Engine 1 Pump Suction Self-Sealing Coupling (1672GK)
(1) Remove the protective covers from the suction hose (5), self-sealing coupling (15) and union on the hydraulic pump (10).
(2) Connect the self-sealing coupling (15) to the union on the hydraulic pump (10).
(3) TORQUE the self-sealing coupling (15) to between 10.17 and 9.04 m.daN (75.00 and 66.67 lbf.ft )

(a) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the union on the hydraulic pump when you torque the self-sealing coupling (15).
(4) Connect the suction hose (5) to the self-sealing coupling (15).
(5) TORQUE the coupling nut on the suction hose (5) to between 10.17 and 9.04 m.daN (75.00 and 66.67 lbf.ft )

(a) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the self-sealing coupling (15) when you torque the coupling nut on the suction hose (5).
(6) Connect the hose coupling half to the fluid disconnect panel and tighten the coupling nut with your hand.
(7) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 10.17 and 9.04 m.daN (75.00 and 66.67 lbf.ft )

Subtask 29-11-38-870-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 29-11-38-865-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the protective covers from the suction hose (5), self-sealing coupling (15) and union on the hydraulic pump (10).
(2) Connect the self-sealing coupling (15) to the union on the hydraulic pump (10).
(3) TORQUE the self-sealing coupling (15) to between 10.17 and 9.04 m.daN (75.00 and 66.67 lbf.ft )
. (a) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the union on the hydraulic pump when you torque the self-sealing coupling (15).
(4) Connect the suction hose (5) to the self-sealing coupling (15).
(5) TORQUE the coupling nut on the suction hose (5) to between 10.17 and 9.04 m.daN (75.00 and 66.67 lbf.ft )
. (a) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the self-sealing coupling (15) when you torque the coupling nut on the suction hose (5).
(6) Connect the hose coupling half to the fluid disconnect panel and tighten the coupling nut with your hand.
(7) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 10.17 and 9.04 m.daN (75.00 and 66.67 lbf.ft )
. C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Hydraulic Pressurization
(1) Pressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
Subtask 29-11-38-710-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Pressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
E. Test
(1) Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
(2) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the connections.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
5. Close-up(1) Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
(2) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the connections.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
NOTE: There must be between 14 and 16 liters of hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir. If not, the level of the fluid can decrease too much if the bleeding is not correct.
Subtask 29-11-38-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the left fan-cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
(5) Close access door 195BB.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the left fan-cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
(5) Close access door 195BB.
