WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(5) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine 1(2).
(6) Make sure that the fan-cowl door is open.
Subtask 29-11-37-941-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- on the ground service panel 197CB.
(5) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine 1(2).
(6) Make sure that the fan-cowl door is open.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(6) Make sure that a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is below the hydraulic tube connection to the switch (25) to collect the remaining fluid.
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
- make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit, on the HYD overhead panel 40VU.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(6) Make sure that a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is below the hydraulic tube connection to the switch (25) to collect the remaining fluid.
Subtask 29-11-37-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Green Engine 1 Pump Case Drain Check valve (1041GM)
(1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packing (3).
(2) Install the AIPC 29-11-06-01-080 PACKING (3) on the check valve (1).
(3) Remove the blanking plug from the panel (4).
(4) Install the check valve (1) on the panel (4).
(5) TORQUE the check valve (1) to between 4.5 and 4.0 m.daN (33.19 and 29.50 lbf.ft )

(6) Remove the blanking plug from the disconnected hose (2).
(7) Connect the hose (2) to the check valve (1).
(8) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 27.7 and 24.3 m.N (20.43 and 17.92 lbf.ft )

Subtask 29-11-37-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packing (3).
(2) Install the AIPC 29-11-06-01-080 PACKING (3) on the check valve (1).
(3) Remove the blanking plug from the panel (4).
(4) Install the check valve (1) on the panel (4).
(5) TORQUE the check valve (1) to between 4.5 and 4.0 m.daN (33.19 and 29.50 lbf.ft )
. (6) Remove the blanking plug from the disconnected hose (2).
(7) Connect the hose (2) to the check valve (1).
(8) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 27.7 and 24.3 m.N (20.43 and 17.92 lbf.ft )
. B. Test
(1) Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001)
(2) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the check valve.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001)
(2) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the check valve.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
Subtask 29-11-37-942-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Remove the Safety Precautions
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

B. Close access
(1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Close the left fan-cowl door 437AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040).
