Subtask 29-11-36-860-059-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
  • Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the APU BLEED pushbutton switch.
   (2) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
  • On the HYD section of panel 40VU
  • On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
   (4) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
  • Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
  • Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
  • Make sure that WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (5) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
  • Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

C. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that skin access panel 413AL is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-807).
   (2) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

   (3) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the pylon.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-36-420-053-D
A. Installation of the Green Engine-Pump Delivery Check-Valve
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
   (4) Make sure that Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) is in position at the connection of the check valve (1) and the tube (3).
   (5) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION from the check valve (1).
   (6) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (7) Apply the fluid:
CAUTION: DO NOT USE HIGH-DENSITY FLUID SKYDROL 500B-4 FOR A320NEO FAMILY. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
     (a) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) on the threads of the check valve (1).
   (8) Do the electrical bonding on the check valve (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (9) Apply the fluid:
CAUTION: DO NOT USE HIGH-DENSITY FLUID SKYDROL 500B-4 FOR A320NEO FAMILY. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
     (a) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) on the threads of the coupling nut of the hose (2).
   (10) Put the check valve (1) in position into the pylon.
   (11) Loosely install the washer (5) and the bolt (7).
   (12) Connect the hose (2) to the check valve (1) and tighten the coupling nut of the hose (2) with your hand.
   (13) TORQUE the coupling nut of the hose (2) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft ) T. Use the triple torque procedure as follows:
     (a) Torque the coupling nut to the specified value.
     (b) Loosen the coupling nut until it is free to turn again.
     (c) Torque and loosen the coupling nut again.
     (d) Torque the coupling nut one more time.
   (14) Connect the tube (3) to the check valve (1).
   (15) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (3) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
T.
   (16) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
   (17) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) on the mating surface of the anti-rotation device (6).
   (18) Install the anti-rotation device (6).
   (19) Install the washers (5) and the bolts (4).
   (20) Tighten the bolts (4) and (7).
   (21) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) on the heads of the bolts (4) and (7).
   (22) Fill the space between the check valve (1) and the pylon lower spar with Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) .

B. Operational Test
   (1) Remove the CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL).
   (2) Do the operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
   (3) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the hydraulic connections.
   (4) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

   (3) Install skin access panel 413AL (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-807).
   (4) Close access doors 197CB and 195BB.
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (6) Remove the access platform(s).
