Removal of the Green Engine-Pump Delivery Check-Valve
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) On the ground service panel, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Open access door 195BB.
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
(5) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
Subtask 29-11-36-010-056-A (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the APU BLEED pushbutton switch.
(a) On the ground service panel, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Open access door 195BB.
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system.
(5) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
- Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
- Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
- Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the pylon.
Subtask 29-11-36-020-054-A (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the pylon.
D. Disconnection of the Engine Hydraulic Hose
(1) Put a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) in position below the check valve (1).
(2) Disconnect the hose (2) from the check valve (1).
(3) Drain the hydraulic fluid from the hose (2) into the container.
(4) Connect the hose (2) to the check valve (1). Tighten the coupling nut of the hose (2) with your hand.
Subtask 29-11-36-410-057-A (1) Put a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) in position below the check valve (1).
(2) Disconnect the hose (2) from the check valve (1).
(3) Drain the hydraulic fluid from the hose (2) into the container.
(4) Connect the hose (2) to the check valve (1). Tighten the coupling nut of the hose (2) with your hand.
E. Close Access
(1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):

F. Get Access
(1) Remove skin access panel 413AL (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-807).
(2) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the pylon.
4. Procedure(1) Remove skin access panel 413AL (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-807).
(2) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the pylon.
Subtask 29-11-36-020-053-C
A. Removal of the Green Engine-Pump Delivery Check-Valve
(2) Put Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) at the connection of the tube (3) and the check valve (1) to collect the remaining hydraulic fluid.
(3) Remove the bolts (4) and (7) and the washers (5) that attach the check valve (1) to the pylon.
(4) Remove the anti-rotation device (6).
(5) Remove the sealant from the mating surfaces of the anti-rotation device (6) and the pylon.
(6) Disconnect the tube (3) from the check valve (1).
(7) Hold the check valve (1) and disconnect the hose (2) manually.
(8) Remove the check valve (1) from the pylon.
(9) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(10) Put the CAP - PROTECTION on the two ends of the check valve (1).
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE CHECK VALVE AS THE HYDRAULIC FLUID WILL FLOW OUT.
(1) Remove the sealant from the heads of the bolts (4) and (7) and around the check valve (1). (2) Put Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) at the connection of the tube (3) and the check valve (1) to collect the remaining hydraulic fluid.
(3) Remove the bolts (4) and (7) and the washers (5) that attach the check valve (1) to the pylon.
(4) Remove the anti-rotation device (6).
(5) Remove the sealant from the mating surfaces of the anti-rotation device (6) and the pylon.
(6) Disconnect the tube (3) from the check valve (1).
(7) Hold the check valve (1) and disconnect the hose (2) manually.
(8) Remove the check valve (1) from the pylon.
(9) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(10) Put the CAP - PROTECTION on the two ends of the check valve (1).
