3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure the aircraft is electrically grounded (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-002).
   (3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
   (4) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (5) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (6) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (7) Open the access door 196BB.
   (8) Put the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT below the HP manifold of the Yellow hydraulic system.
   (9) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

C. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection areas are sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the inspection area is dry before you continue.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-10-00-210-071-A
A. General Visual Inspection Procedure
   (1) Do the general visual inspection of the bracket (4) for damage:
     (a) If you do not find damage, continue with paragraph 4.C.
     (b) If you find damage, replace the bracket (4).
NOTE: It is recommended to do the inspections of the hydraulic pipes and hoses before you replace the damaged bracket.
     (c) Do the general visual inspection for signs of chafing on the pipe assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-200-001).
       1 If you find damage, replace the pipe assembly (1).
     (d) Do the general visual inspection for signs of chafing on the hose (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-200-003).
       1 If you find damage, replace the hose (2).
     (e) Do the general visual inspection for signs of chafing on the pipe assembly (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-200-001).
       1 If you find damage, replace the pipe assembly (3).
     (f) Do the test of the Yellow hydraulic system, refer to paragraph 4.B.

B. Test of the Yellow hydraulic system
NOTE: If there were no damage and the pipe assembly (1), the bracket (4), the hose (2) and/or the pipe assembly (3), were not replaced then the test of the Yellow hydraulic system is not necessary.
   (1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
NOTE: It is necessary to check all connections of the replaced parts. Leaks are not permitted.
   (2) Do the operational test of the Yellow auxiliary power (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-710-001).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

5. Close-up
Subtask 29-10-00-860-123-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Connect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (4) Remove the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT.
   (5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (6) Close the access door 196BB.
   (7) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
