Power Up Test and Cold Start Procedure
WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
1. Reason for the JobNOTE: Two persons are necessary to do this procedure, one person in the cockpit and one person at refuel/defuel control panel-door 192MB.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the panels that follow to tell persons not to operate the fuel system:

(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the panels that follow to tell persons not to operate the fuel system:
- Refuel/Defuel panels 800VU and 801VU
- Fuel control panel 40VU
- Additional Center Tank (ACT) control panel 28VU.

A. Power Up Test and Cold Start Procedure
(a) Make sure that the circuit breakers are closed:
(2) Do this power up test procedure (applicable only to the high-level sensor faults):
(a) Open refuel/defuel control panel-door 192MB to energize the refuel busbar.
(b) Wait for a minimum of 4 minutes:
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(4) Wait for a minimum of 10 seconds.
(5) Do this cold start procedure:
(a) Make sure that the circuit breakers are closed:
(c) Wait for a minimum of 20 seconds for the AFMC software to start:
a If the warnings stays, do the related troubleshooting procedure.
5. Close-upNOTE: Spurious messages can trigger again on the subsequent power-up of the AFMC and this procedure cannot correctly clear the Non-Volatile Memory (NVM). The AFMC will show the messages again on the Post Flight Report (PFR) in the subsequent flight.
(1) Do this power up test procedure (not applicable to the high-level sensor faults):(a) Make sure that the circuit breakers are closed:
- 3QN
- 4QN
- 5QN
- 64QJ
- 65QJ
- 66QJ.
- Make sure that all the BITE tests are completed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-740-001).
(2) Do this power up test procedure (applicable only to the high-level sensor faults):
(a) Open refuel/defuel control panel-door 192MB to energize the refuel busbar.
(b) Wait for a minimum of 4 minutes:
- Make sure that all the BITE tests are completed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-740-001).
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(4) Wait for a minimum of 10 seconds.
(5) Do this cold start procedure:
(a) Make sure that the circuit breakers are closed:
- 3QN
- 4QN
- 5QN
- 64QJ
- 65QJ
- 66QJ.
(c) Wait for a minimum of 20 seconds for the AFMC software to start:
NOTE: The procedure removes all the spurious warnings.
1 The person in the cockpit must look for warnings on the multipurpose control and display unit and ECAM upper display unit:a If the warnings stays, do the related troubleshooting procedure.
