Installation of the IDG Shut-off Sensor.

MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
Subtask 28-46-19-860-050-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001). (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained form the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is below the applicable access panel 540AB (640AB).
(4) Make sure that the applicable access panel 540AB (640AB) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
Subtask 28-46-19-865-054-A (1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained form the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is below the applicable access panel 540AB (640AB).
(4) Make sure that the applicable access panel 540AB (640AB) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 28-46-19-420-051-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
B. Installation of the IDG Shut-off Sensor
(1) Put the sensor (4) in position and install the bolts (3) and (7) and the washers (2) and (8).
(2) TORQUE the bolt (3) to between 0.56 and 0.45 m.daN (49.56 and 39.82 lbf.in )

(3) TORQUE the bolt (7) to between 0.28 and 0.225 m.daN (24.78 and 19.91 lbf.in )
.
(4) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(5) Connect the electrical connectors of the cable (1) with the electrical connector screws (5) and (6).
(6) TORQUE the electrical connector screw (5) to between 0.124 and 0.102 m.daN (10.97 and 9.03 lbf.in )
.
(7) TORQUE the electrical connector screw (6) to between 0.226 and 0.204 m.daN (20.00 and 18.05 lbf.in )
.
(8) Install the cable (1) in the cable clamp with the cable clamp screw (9).
(9) TORQUE the cable clamp screw (9) to between 0.067 and 0.034 m.daN (5.93 and 3.01 lbf.in )
.
Subtask 28-46-19-865-052-A (1) Put the sensor (4) in position and install the bolts (3) and (7) and the washers (2) and (8).
(2) TORQUE the bolt (3) to between 0.56 and 0.45 m.daN (49.56 and 39.82 lbf.in )
. (3) TORQUE the bolt (7) to between 0.28 and 0.225 m.daN (24.78 and 19.91 lbf.in )
. (4) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(5) Connect the electrical connectors of the cable (1) with the electrical connector screws (5) and (6).
(6) TORQUE the electrical connector screw (5) to between 0.124 and 0.102 m.daN (10.97 and 9.03 lbf.in )
. (7) TORQUE the electrical connector screw (6) to between 0.226 and 0.204 m.daN (20.00 and 18.05 lbf.in )
. (8) Install the cable (1) in the cable clamp with the cable clamp screw (9).
(9) TORQUE the cable clamp screw (9) to between 0.067 and 0.034 m.daN (5.93 and 3.01 lbf.in )
. C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001):

install 540AB
(b) FOR [38QJ2] (SENSOR-LOW LEVEL, RIGHT WING TK INNER CHANNEL A)
install 640AB.
Subtask 28-46-19-650-051-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-400-001):
(a) FOR [38QJ1] (SENSOR-LOW LEVEL, LEFT WING TK INNER CHANNEL A)

(b) FOR [38QJ2] (SENSOR-LOW LEVEL, RIGHT WING TK INNER CHANNEL A)

B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel, defuel or transfer fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
