A. Safety Precautions

WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 540AB (640AB).
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002):
(a) FOR [38QJ1] (SENSOR-LOW LEVEL, LEFT WING TK INNER CHANNEL A)
remove 540AB
(b) FOR [38QJ2] (SENSOR-LOW LEVEL, RIGHT WING TK INNER CHANNEL A)
remove 640AB.

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-46-19-020-050-A

A. Removal of the IDG Shut-off Sensor
(1) Loosen the cable clamp screw (9) and release the cable (1).
(2) Loosen the electrical connector screws (5) and (6) and remove the cable (1).
(3) Put CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connections.
(4) Remove the bolts (3) and (7) and the washers (2) and (8) and remove the sensor (4).
