A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
   (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) .
   (2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is below the applicable access panel 540NB (640NB).
   (4) Make sure that the applicable access panel 540NB (640NB) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-46-17-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Temperature Sensor 30QJ1 (30QJ2)
   (1) Install the sensor (8) with the bolts (3) and (6) and the washers (2) and (7).
   (2) TORQUE the bolt (3) to between .28 and .225 m.daN (24.78 and 19.91 lbf.in ) T.
   (3) TORQUE the bolt (6) to between .56 and .45 m.daN (49.56 and 39.82 lbf.in )
T.
   (4) Apply Coating Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.
06HAA1) to the bolts (3) and (6).
   (5) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
   (6) Connect the electrical connectors of the cable (1) with the connector screws (4) and (5).
   (7) TORQUE the connector screw (4) to between 0.124 and 0.102 m.daN (10.97 and 9.03 lbf.in ) T.
   (8) TORQUE the connector screw (5) to between 0.226 and 0.204 m.daN (20.00 and 18.05 lbf.in )
T.
   (9) Install the cable (1) in the cable clamp with the cable clamp screw (9).
   (10) TORQUE the cable clamp screw (9) to between 0.067 and 0.034 m.daN (5.93 and 3.01 lbf.in )

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

     (b) FOR [30QJ2] (SENSOR-TEMP, RIGHT WING TK OUTER CHANNEL A)
install 640NB.

B. Fuel Configuration
   (1) Refuel, defuel or transfer fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).

C. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
