MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
Subtask 28-46-16-860-050-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank. (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable vent surge tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is below the applicable access panel 550CB (650CB).
(3) Make sure that the applicable access panel 550CB (650CB) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-000-001).
Subtask 28-46-16-865-051-A (1) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable vent surge tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is below the applicable access panel 550CB (650CB).
(3) Make sure that the applicable access panel 550CB (650CB) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-000-001).
C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Overflow Sensor
(1) Install the sensor (3) with the bolts (1) and (7) and the washers (2) and (6).
(2) TORQUE the bolt (1) to between .56 and .45 m.daN (49.56 and 39.82 lbf.in )

(3) TORQUE the bolt (7) to between .28 and .225 m.daN (24.78 and 19.91 lbf.in )
.
(4) Apply Coating Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06HAA1) to the bolts (1) and (7).
(5) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(6) Connect the electrical connectors of the cable (5) with the connector screws (8) and (9).
(7) TORQUE the connector screw (8) to between 0.124 and 0.102 m.daN (10.97 and 9.03 lbf.in )

(8) TORQUE the connector screw (9) to between 0.226 and 0.204 m.daN (20.00 and 18.05 lbf.in )
.
(9) Install the cable (5) in the cable clamp with the cable clamp screw (4).
(10) TORQUE the cable clamp screw (4) to between 0.067 and 0.034 m.daN (5.93 and 3.01 lbf.in )

Subtask 28-46-16-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the sensor (3) with the bolts (1) and (7) and the washers (2) and (6).

. B. Installation of the Overflow Sensor
(1) Install the cover (4) and the sensor (3) on the support bracket.
(2) Install the bolts (1) and (8) and the washers (2) and (7).
(3) TORQUE the bolt (1) to between .56 and .45 m.daN (49.56 and 39.82 lbf.in )

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-400-002):
(a) FOR [28QJ1] (SENSOR-HIGH LVL, LEFT WING SURGE TK CHANNEL A)
install 550CB
(b) FOR [28QJ2] (SENSOR-HIGH LVL, RIGHT WING SURGE TK CHANNEL A)
install 650CB.

(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-400-002):

(b) FOR [28QJ2] (SENSOR-HIGH LVL, RIGHT WING SURGE TK CHANNEL A)

B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel, defuel or transfer fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001).

(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
