A. Safety Precautions
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 28-46-16-650-050-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank. (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable surge tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-46-16-010-050-A (1) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable surge tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the applicable access panel 550CB 650CB.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-000-001):
(a) FOR [28QJ1] (SENSOR-HIGH LVL, LEFT WING SURGE TK CHANNEL A)
remove 550CB
(b) FOR [28QJ2] (SENSOR-HIGH LVL, RIGHT WING SURGE TK CHANNEL A)
remove 650CB.
Subtask 28-46-16-865-050-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the applicable access panel 550CB 650CB.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-000-001):
(a) FOR [28QJ1] (SENSOR-HIGH LVL, LEFT WING SURGE TK CHANNEL A)
remove 550CB
(b) FOR [28QJ2] (SENSOR-HIGH LVL, RIGHT WING SURGE TK CHANNEL A)
remove 650CB.
D. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Removal of the Overflow Sensor
(1) Loosen the cable clamp screw (4) and release the cable (5).
(2) Loosen the electrical connector screws (8) and (9) and remove the cable (5).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the bolts (1) and (7) and the washers (2) and (6)
(5) Remove the sensor (3) from the support bracket.
Subtask 28-46-16-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Loosen the cable clamp screw (4) and release the cable (5).
(2) Loosen the electrical connector screws (8) and (9) and remove the cable (5).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the bolts (1) and (7) and the washers (2) and (6)
(5) Remove the sensor (3) from the support bracket.

(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the bolts (1) and (8) and the washers (2) and (7).
(5) Remove the sensor (3) and the cover (4) from the support bracket.
(1) Loosen the cable clamp screw (5) and release the cable (6).
(2) Loosen the electrical connector screws (9) and (10) and remove the cable (6).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the bolts (1) and (8) and the washers (2) and (7).
(5) Remove the sensor (3) and the cover (4) from the support bracket.
