Removal of the Center-Tank Fuel-Level Sensors

A. Safety Precautions
(2) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
Subtask 28-46-15-865-056-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position. (2) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.

C. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-46-15-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Defuel the applicable tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
D. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG main-door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ).
(4) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001):
(a) FOR [20QJ] (SENSOR-HIGH LEVEL, CHANNEL A), [21QJ] (SENSOR-LOW LVL, L CTR TK CHANNEL A)
remove 147AZ
(b) FOR [22QJ] (SENSOR-LOW LVL, R CTR TK CHANNEL B)
remove 148AZ.
Subtask 28-46-15-010-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the MLG main-door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ).
(4) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001):
(a) FOR [20QJ] (SENSOR-HIGH LEVEL, CHANNEL A), [21QJ] (SENSOR-LOW LVL, L CTR TK CHANNEL A)
remove 147AZ
(b) FOR [22QJ] (SENSOR-LOW LVL, R CTR TK CHANNEL B)
remove 148AZ.
D. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG main-door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 148AZ.
(4) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001):
(a) FOR [20QJ] (SENSOR-HIGH LEVEL, CHANNEL A), [21QJ] (SENSOR-LOW LVL, L CTR TK CHANNEL A), [22QJ] (SENSOR-LOW LVL, R CTR TK CHANNEL B)
remove 148AZ
4. Procedure(1) Open the MLG main-door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 148AZ.
(4) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001):
(a) FOR [20QJ] (SENSOR-HIGH LEVEL, CHANNEL A), [21QJ] (SENSOR-LOW LVL, L CTR TK CHANNEL A), [22QJ] (SENSOR-LOW LVL, R CTR TK CHANNEL B)

A. Removal of the Center-Tank Fuel-Level Sensors
(1) Loosen the cable clamp screw (9) and release the cable (1).
(2) Loosen the electrical connector screws (4) and (5) and remove the cable (1),
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the bolts (3) and (6) and the washers (2) and (7). Remove the sensor (8).
(1) Loosen the cable clamp screw (9) and release the cable (1).
(2) Loosen the electrical connector screws (4) and (5) and remove the cable (1),
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the bolts (3) and (6) and the washers (2) and (7). Remove the sensor (8).
