(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
B. Installation of the Attitude Monitor
(2) Apply the red color Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.04JMD9) across the heads of the three screws (1) and the adjacent surface of the attitude monitor (2).
(3) If the attitude monitor mounting datum or the installation of the washers (3) have not changed, no adjustment is necessary.
(4) If the attitude monitor mounting datum or the installation of the washers (3) have changed, do the adjustment in paragraph 4.C.
Subtask 28-43-24-820-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: Make sure that the washers (3) are installed in the position that they were removed from.
(1) Position the three screws (1) and the washers (3) in the attitude monitor (2) and install it on the mounting plate assembly.
C. Adjustment of the Attitude Monitor
(a) Do the aircraft precise leveling (Ref. AMM TASK 08-22-00-200-001) to put the aircraft in position to have a 0 degree pitch, 0 degree roll. Use the standard reference marks of the aircraft (tolerance +/- 5 minutes).
(b) If the attitude monitor shows the D4 position, the attitude monitor is correct and no adjustment is necessary.
(c) If the attitude monitor does not show the D4 position, do the adjustment procedure that follows:
1 Remove the screw (13) and the three screws (14).
2 Remove the cover plate (15).
3 Tighten the spring loaded screws (12) until the springs are fully compressed, and then loosen them one full turn.
4 Turn the spring loaded screws (12) to adjust the attitude monitor until the bubble is at the D4 position.
5 Put the cover plate (15) in the position for installation.
6 Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) on the threads of the screws (13) and (14).
7 Install the screw (13) and the three screws (14).
8 Lower the aircraft on its wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-002).
(2) Quick leveling with the ADIRU and with aircraft on ground:
(a) Use the ADIRU (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-860-001) to get the aircraft attitude pitch and roll data.
(b) Refer to table 1 to identify the reference square on the attitude monitor (Example: F4).
(c) If the ADIRU figures for pitch and roll are out of the table range, do the quick leveling procedure with the ADIRU (Ref. AMM TASK 08-21-00-200-001) to get the pitch and roll figures in the table range.
(d) Look at the attitude monitor:
1 If the attitude monitor shows the identified reference square (Example: F4), no adjustment is necessary.
2 If the attitude monitor does not show the identified reference square, do the adjustment procedure that follows:
a Remove the screw (13) and the three screws (14).
b Remove the cover plate (15).
c Tighten the spring loaded screws (12) until the springs are fully compressed, and then loosen them one full turn.
d Turn the spring loaded screws (12) to adjust the attitude monitor until the bubble is in the identified reference square.
e Put the cover plate (15) in the position for installation.
f Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) on the threads of the screws (13) and (14).
g Install the screw (13) and the three screws (14).
h Lower the aircraft on its wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-002).
5. Close-upNOTE: There are two methods to adjust the attitude monitor.
(1) Precise leveling with the aircraft on jacks: (a) Do the aircraft precise leveling (Ref.
