WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is below the applicable wing trailing edge at the false rear spar, zone 574(674).
   (2) Make sure that the applicable access panel is open:
  • for the left wing, open 574BB
  • for the right wing, open 674BB.

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-42-43-420-099-A
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the Fused Plug Connectors
   (1) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
   (2) Install the fused plug connectors (1) on the harness connectors (5).
   (3) Attach the lanyards (2) to the support bracket with the screws (3) and the nuts (4).

B. Installation of the Shorting Plug Connectors
   (1) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
   (2) Install the shorting plug connectors (1) on the harness connectors (5).
   (3) Attach the lanyards (2) to the support bracket with the screws (3) and the nuts (4).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (2) Do a functional (BITE) test of the fuel-tank level-sensing system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-740-001).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the applicable access panel:
  • for the left wing, close 574BB
  • for the right wing, close 674BB.

   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
