A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
   (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
   (3) Make sure that the access platform is below the applicable zone 540(640).
   (4) Make sure that the applicable access panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002).

4. Procedure
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL CABLES IN FUEL TANKS ARE CORRECTLY SUPPORTED (BY CLIPS AND OTHER SUPPORTS). IF CLIPS OR SUPPORTS ARE MISSING OR DAMAGED, YOU MUST REPLACE THEM.
WARNING: DO NOT REPAIR CABLES THAT ARE IN FUEL TANKS. DO NOT MAKE IN-LINE SPLICES. IF A CABLE IS DEFECTIVE, YOU MUST REPLACE THE FULL CABLE ASSEMBLY.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE INSTALLATION AND ROUTING OF ALL ELECTRICAL CABLES AGREE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ELECTRICAL STANDARD PRACTICES MANUAL.
Subtask 28-42-43-420-096-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Get access through the opening 540KB(640KB) to RIB15.
   (5) Identify and attach the end of the applicable string to the cables for the fuel probe 33QT1(33QT2).
   (6) Identify and attach the end of the applicable string to the cables for the sensor 30QJ1(30QJ2).
   (7) Put TAPE - SELF-AMALGAMATING around the cable ends of the harness 15QT1(15QT2). This will help to let it move more easily through the conduit.

B. Installation of the Wing Tank Outer-Cell Group A Harness 15QT1 (15QT2)
   (1) Get access through the opening 540LB(640LB) to RIB16 and find the string at the end of the conduit.
   (2) Use the string to carefully pull the harness 15QT1(15QT2) through the conduit, until the cables come into view.
   (3) Remove and discard the string and the tape from the harness.
   (4) Get access through the opening 540LB(640LB) to RIB16 and find the cord at the end of the conduit.
   (5) Use the string to carefully pull the harness 15QT1(15QT2) through the conduit, until the cables come into view.
   (6) Remove and discard the string and the tape from the harness.
   (7) Identify the cable ends for the fuel probe 33QT1(33QT2).
   (8) Use a crimping tool to crimp the correct color terminal connectors (2) to the color identified wires (Ref. WL 204400).
   (9) Connect the terminal connectors (2) to the terminal block of the fuel probe 33QT1(33QT2).
   (10) Put the cable for the fuel probe 33QT1(33QT2) in position.
   (11) Attach the electrical harness 15QT1(15QT2) to the fuel probe 33QT1(33QT2) body and the structure with the AIPC 28-42-05-20-010 CABLE-TIES (1) or AIPC 28-42-85-21-010 CABLE-TIES (1).
   (12) Get access through the opening 540NB(640NB) to RIB18 and find the string at the end of the conduit.
   (13) Use the string to carefully pull the harness 15QT1(15QT2) through the conduit, until the ends of the harness come into view.
   (14) Remove and discard the string and the tape from the harness.

C. Continue with the Installation Procedure
   (1) Identify the cable ends for the sensor 30QJ1(30QJ2).
   (2) Connect the cable to the sensor 30QJ1(30QJ2) with the screws (20) and (23).
   (3) TORQUE the screw (20) to between 0.226 and 0.204 m.daN (20.00 and 18.05 lbf.in ) T.
   (4) TORQUE the screw (23) to between 0.124 and 0.102 m.daN (10.97 and 9.03 lbf.in )
T.
   (5) Put the cable in position in the clamp (22) with the screws (21).
   (6) TORQUE the screws (21) to between 0.067 and 0.034 m.daN (5.93 and 3.01 lbf.in )
T.
   (7) Put the cable for the sensor 30QJ1(30QJ2) in position.
   (8) Make a coil of the unwanted cable and attach the harness 15QT1(15QT2) to the structure with the AIPC 28-42-05-20-010 CABLE-TIES (1) or AIPC 28-42-85-21-010 CABLE-TIES (1).
   (9) Remove and discard the string and the tape from the harness.
   (10) Get access through the opening 540KB(640KB) to RIB15 and find the plug connector (33).
   (11) Install the anti-rotation plate (44) (
Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-43-400-006).
   (12) Remove the blanking caps and connect the plug connector (33) to the connector 4045VC1(4045VC2) (34).
