(2) Disconnect the wing tank harness 57QT(58QT), 63QT(64QT) from outboard of the RIB 6.
(a) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the probes that follow (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-15-000-005):
1 FOR [57QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK A), [58QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING, TANK A)
29QT1(29QT2), 59QT1(59QT2) and 61QT1(61QT2).
2 FOR [63QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK B), [64QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING TANK B)
28QT1(28QT2), 30QT1(30QT2), 60QT1(60QT2) and 34QT1(34QT2).
(b) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the sensors that follow (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-15-000-001):
1 FOR [57QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK A), [58QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING, TANK A)
17QJ1(17QJ2).
2 FOR [63QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK B), [64QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING TANK B)
25QJ1(25QJ2), 26QJ1(26QJ2) and 27QJ1(27QJ2).
(3) Attach the connectors together at all the end of the harness with TAPE - ADHESIVE.

NOTE: This will help the harness to move more easily through its conduit.

(4) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the aircraft structure. To do this, remove the related cable-ties (1) and the related bolts (2) and loop-clamps (3). Discard all the cable-ties (1) that you remove.

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(5) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (6).
(6) Remove the nut (6) and the washer (5).
(7) Remove the electrical backshell (8) from the rear spar.
(8) Remove and discard the O-ring (4).
(9) Attach STRING - DRAW to all the ends of the wing tank harness.

NOTE: This will help you to install a new wing tank harness.

(10) Identify each piece of string with its related probe or sensor FIN No.
(11) Make sure that the wing tank harness is free to move through its conduit. Remove cable-ties as necessary.
(12) Carefully pull the electrical backshell (8) to remove the wing tank harness from the aircraft. When you remove the wing tank harness make sure that it does not catch.

NOTE: This will help the harness to move more easily through its conduit.

(4) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the aircraft structure. To do this remove:

The cable-ties (1)
The nylon spacers (9)
The bolts (2)
The loop-clamps (3).

(5) Discard all the cable-ties (1) that you remove.

(6) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (6).
(7) Remove the nut (6) and the washer (5).
(8) Remove the electrical backshell (8) from the rear spar.
(9) Remove and discard the O-ring (4).
(10) Attach STRING - DRAW to all the ends of the wing tank harness.

NOTE: This will help you to install a new wing tank harness.

(11) Identify each piece of string with its related probe or sensor FIN No.
(12) Make sure that the wing tank harness is free to move through its conduit. Remove cable-ties as necessary.
(13) Carefully pull the electrical backshell (8) to remove the wing tank harness from the aircraft. When you remove the wing tank harness make sure that it does not catch.
(14) Make sure that all the pieces of string are correctly identified. Remove the wing tank harness from the string. Make sure that you do not pull the string out of the conduits.

B. Removal of the Wing Tank Harness

Wing Tank Harness 57QT (58QT) and 63QT (64QT) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Disconnect the Wing Tank Harness 57QT(58QT), 63QT(64QT) from inboard of the RIB6.
(a) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the probes that follow (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-15-000-005):
1 FOR [57QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK A), [58QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING, TANK A)
21QT1(21QT2), 54QT1(54QT2), 23QT1(23QT2), 25QT1(25QT2) and 27QT1(27QT2).
2 FOR [63QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK B), [64QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING TANK B)
54QT1(54QT2), 56QT1(56QT2) and 26QT1(26QT2).
(b) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the sensors that follow (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-15-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-17-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-19-000-001):
1 FOR [57QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK A), [58QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING, TANK A)
16QJ1(16QJ2), 29QJ1(29QJ2), 38QJ1(38QJ2) and 40QJ1(40QJ2).
2 FOR [63QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK B), [64QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING TANK B)
23QJ1(23QJ2), 24QJ1(24QJ2), 15QJ1(15QJ2) and 39QJ1(39QJ2).
(c) Disconnect the wing tank harness:
1 FOR [57QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK A), [63QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK B)
From the dualcomp (53QT) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-46-000-001).

2 FOR [58QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING, TANK A), [64QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING TANK B)
From the ultracomp (52QT) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-48-000-001).
(2) Disconnect the wing tank harness 57QT(58QT), 63QT(64QT) from outboard of the RIB6.
(a) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the probes that follow (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-15-000-005):
1 FOR [57QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK A), [58QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING, TANK A)
29QT1(29QT2), 59QT1(59QT2) and 61QT1(61QT2).
2 FOR [63QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK B), [64QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING TANK B)
28QT1(28QT2), 30QT1(30QT2), 60QT1(60QT2) and 34QT1(34QT2).
(b) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the sensors that follow (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-15-000-001):
1 FOR [57QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK A), [58QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING, TANK A)
17QJ1(17QJ2).
2 FOR [63QT] (HARNESS-LEFT WING TANK B), [64QT] (HARNESS-RIGHT WING TANK B)
25QJ1(25QJ2), 26QJ1(26QJ2) and 27QJ1(27QJ2).
(3) Attach the connectors together at all the ends of the harness with TAPE - ADHESIVE.

NOTE: This will help the harness to move more easily through its conduit.

(4) Disconnect the wing tank harness from the aircraft structure. To do this remove:

The cable-ties (1)
The nylon spacers (6)
The bolts (2)
The loop-clamps (3).

(5) Discard all the cable-ties (1) that you remove.
(6) Remove the nut (5), the bolt (4), the loop-clamps (3) and the nylon spacers (6) from RIB2.

(7) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (10).
(8) Remove the nut (10) and the washer (9).
(9) Remove and discard the O-ring (8).
(10) Remove the electrical backshell (7) from the connector (11) at the rear spar.
(11) Attach STRING - DRAW to all the ends of the wing tank harness.

NOTE: This will help you to install a new wing tank harness.

(12) Identify each piece of string with its related probe or sensor FIN No.
(13) Make sure that the wing tank harness is free to move through its conduit. Remove cable-ties as necessary.
(14) Carefully pull the electrical backshell (7) to remove the wing tank harness from the aircraft. When you remove the wing tank harness make sure that it does not catch.
(15) Make sure that all the pieces of string are correctly identified. Remove the wing tank harness from the string. Make sure that you do not pull the string out of the conduits.
