(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) If applicable, make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

(1) Make sure that the access platform is below the access panel 622KB.
(2) Make sure that the access panel 622KB is open.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 28-42-22-420-051-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
B. Installation of Fuel Quantity Indicator 6QT
(1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Install the indicator (2) in the mounting frame back-plate. Make sure the spigot engages correctly in the mounting frame back-plate.
(4) Tighten the quick-release fasteners (3).
Subtask 28-42-22-865-052-A (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE INDICATOR TOO FAR AND DO NOT LET IT HANG ON THE ELECTRICAL CABLE. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE.
CAUTION:
DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE COMPONENT DURING THE PROCEDURE. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO COMPONENT.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Connect the electrical plug (1). (3) Install the indicator (2) in the mounting frame back-plate. Make sure the spigot engages correctly in the mounting frame back-plate.
(4) Tighten the quick-release fasteners (3).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Do an operational test of the fuel quantity indicator lights (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-00-710-001).
(2) Do a status report (BITE) of the fuel quantity indicating system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-00-740-001).
