A. Safety Precautions
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the MLG doors.
Subtask 28-42-16-650-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank. (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the MLG doors.
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 28-42-16-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Defuel the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access
(1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ).
(4) Remove the applicable center-tank access panel 147AZ (148AZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
Subtask 28-42-16-865-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuator.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel 147AZ (148AZ).
(4) Remove the applicable center-tank access panel 147AZ (148AZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

A. Removal of the Cadensicon 20QT
(2) Remove the bolts (2), the washers (3) and the cadensicon (1) from the support bracket (4).
(3) Installation of the transport pin:
(b) Tilt the cadensicon (1) until the counterweight and the float go to the maximum top position.
(c) Install the transport pin (10) in the cadensicon (1).
(d) Lock the transport pin (10) with its movable clip.
CAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE WIRE WHEN YOU DISCONNECT AN ELECTRICAL CABLE. YOU MUST ONLY PULL THE PLASTIC HOUSING TO REMOVE THE CONNECTION. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLES.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) from the cadensicon (1) and put CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors (5). (2) Remove the bolts (2), the washers (3) and the cadensicon (1) from the support bracket (4).
(3) Installation of the transport pin:
NOTE: Cadensicon part numbers 796-809-5 and 796-809-6 do not have the transport pins installed.
(a) You must install a transport pin if you want to repair cadensicon part number 796-809-6A. (b) Tilt the cadensicon (1) until the counterweight and the float go to the maximum top position.
(c) Install the transport pin (10) in the cadensicon (1).
(d) Lock the transport pin (10) with its movable clip.
