   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Fuel-Quantity-Probe

   (1) Installation of the probe 21QT1(2):
     (a) Install the bracket (13) on the probe (11).
     (b) Put the probe (11) in the correct position and loosely install the bolts (12), the bolts (10) and the washers (9).

  • The nearest structure
  • Rib and tank wall
  • Pipework
  • Brackets and p-clips
  • Fasteners and other metal parts.
     (d) TORQUE the bolts (10) to between .56 and .45 m.daN (49.56 and 39.82 lbf.in ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (e) Tighten the bolts (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (f) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) to the ends of the bolts (10) and (12).
     (g) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
     (h) Identify and connect the electrical connectors of the cable (8) with the screws (3), (4) and (5).
     (i) TORQUE the screws (3), (4) and (5) as follows:
     (j) Put the cable (8) in position under the clamp block (6) and TORQUE the clamp screw (7) to between .045 and .023 m.daN (3.98 and 2.04 lbf.in ) T.
     (k) Install the
AIPC 28-42-05-20-010 CABLE-TIES (1), as necessary, to attach the cable (8) to the probe (11).
   (2) Installation of the probe 92QT1(2):
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Install the bracket (37) on the probe (35).
     (b) Put the probe (35) in the correct position and loosely install the bolts (36) and the nuts (38).
     (c) Loosely install the bolts (33) and the washers (32).

     (j) TORQUE the screws (30) to between .124 and .102 m.daN (10.97 and 9.03 lbf.in ) T.
     (k) TORQUE the screws (34) to between .226 and .203 m.daN (20.00 and 17.96 lbf.in )

   (4) Installation of the probe 93QT1(2):

     (a) Put the probe (77) in the correct position and loosely install the bolts (60), (72) and the washers (61), (73).

E. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
