1. Reason for the Job
This Task shows you how to access the FQIS TROUBLE SHOOTING data pages on the MCDU. The trouble shooting data is available for the FQIC, FLSCU's and cadensicon when one of those LRUs is given as a fault message. Cross-reference tables are supplied to let you read the related failure type.

   (1) When the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST menu page comes into view, do this procedure

3.When the LAST LEG REPORT shows NO FAULTS:

A.Push the RETURN key two times to exit the FUEL system menus.
  • the CFDS SYSTEM REPORT/TEST main menu page comes into view.
B.Do the Close-up, or if applicable, access other FUEL menus.

4.When the LAST LEG REPORT shows an applicable failed LRU message:

A.Push the line key to the right of its ATA number.
  • the related FUEL FLSCU/FQIC TROUBLE SHOOTING page comes into view.
B.Find the location (GRID REF) of the 1(s) shown in the TROUBLE SHOOTING data.

C.Make a record of the GRID REF of the 1(s), or use the MCDU print function to get a print-out of the TROUBLE SHOOTING data.

D.Go to the applicable step that follows, and read the failure type for the given GRID REF:

  • for the FLSCU TROUBLE SHOOTING data refer to Para 4.H.

  • for the FQIC TROUBLE SHOOTING data refer to Para 4.J. Tables 1 thru 6.

4.When the CLASS 3 FAULTS page shows a CADENSICON (19QT1/19QT2/20QT) fault message:

A.Push the line key to the right of its ATA number.
  • the related FUEL CADENS TROUBLE SHOOTING page comes into view.
B.Find the location (GRID REF) of the 1(s) shown in the TROUBLE SHOOTING data.

C.Make a record of the GRID REF of the 1(s), or use the MCDU print function to get a print-out of the TROUBLE SHOOTING data.

D.Go to Para 4.G. and read the failure type for the given GRID REF.

E.When applicable, do the Close-up.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
     (a) On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MCDU Menu page comes into view.
     (b) On the MCDU, set the BRT knob to OFF.
     (c) If applicable, do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
     (d) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
     (e) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
