A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) If you do not have ground power available, on the refuel/defuel panel 800VU, put the BATT POWER switch to the ON position.
NOTE: HOT BUSS 701PP is energized for ten minutes only to prevent discharge of the aircraft batteries, unless you put the MODE SELECT switch to REFUEL.
4. Procedure

A. Operational Test of the Fuel Quantity Indicating-System
   (1) Do the tests that follow:

A.Set the switches:
  • REFUEL VALVES to NORM
  • MODE SELECT to OFF
  • TEST to LTS.
  • The CKPT legend comes on
  • The AUTO REFUEL-END legend comes on
  • The FUEL QUANTITY shows 88.88 (for each tank)
  • The PRESELECTED quantity shows 88.8
  • The ACTUAL quantity shows 88.8.
B.Set the TEST switch to the center position.
  • The CKPT legend goes off
  • The AUTO REFUEL-END legend goes off
  • The FUEL QUANTITY changes from 88.8 to an indication of the quantity of fuel in the tanks
  • The ACTUAL quantity changes from 88.8 to an indication of the quantity of fuel in the tanks
  • The PRESELECTED FUEL QUANTITY value changes to the value given before the LTS test.
C.Set and hold the INC/DEC switch to DEC.
  • The PRESELECTED quantity changes to the actual value (or the actual value plus 0.1).
D.Release the INC/DEC switch.

A.Set the FQI Select Switch to CTR+ACT.
On the FUEL QTY panel 6QT:
  • the CTR shows the quantity of fuel in the CTR tank + the ACT.
B.Set the FQI Select Switch to CTR.
On the FUEL QTY panel 6QT:
  • the CTR shows the quantity of fuel in the CTR tank.
3.Set the FQI Select Switch to ACT.
On the FUEL QTY panel 6QT:
  • the CTR shows the quantity of fuel in the ACT.

B.Set the FQI Select Switch to CTR.
On the FUEL QTY panel 6QT:
  • the CTR shows the quantity of fuel in the CTR tank.
3.Set the FQI Select Switch to ACT1.
On the FUEL QTY panel 6QT:
  • the CTR shows the quantity of fuel in the ACT1.
4.Set the FQI Select Switch to ACT2.
On the FUEL QTY panel 6QT:
  • the CTR shows the quantity of fuel in the ACT2.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) If the aircraft is refueled with the battery power, on the refuel/defuel control panel (800VU):
  • put the BATT POWER switch to the NORM position.
   (2) If the external power is available, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
     (b) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
