Fuel Safety Procedures
3. Job Set-up
Subtask 28-40-00-941-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the access door 192MB.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) If the applicable ACT was refueled with a known quantity of fuel, continue as follows:
     (a) On panel 801VU:
  • make sure that the applicable ACT REFUEL VALVE switch is in the NORM position and the guard is lowered.
   (2) If the applicable ACT was to stay empty after the last refuel, continue as follows:
     (a) On panel 801VU:
  • remove the warning notice from the applicable ACT REFUEL VALVE switch
  • put the applicable ACT REFUEL VALVE switch in the NORM position and lower the guard.
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-40-00-440-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Reactivation of the normal ECAM fuel page indication for the applicable ACT.
   (1) If you do not know the cause of the malfunction, trouble-shoot the system and do the corrective action (Ref. TSM Chapter 28-42).
5. Close-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make an entry in the aircraft technical log that the ECAM fuel quantity indication for applicable ACT is now serviceable.

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) On panel 801VU:
  • make sure that the applicable ACT REFUEL VALVE switch is in the NORM and guarded position.
   (3) Close the access door 192MB.

C. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
