A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
Subtask 28-40-00-860-075-A WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push (in) the FUEL pushbutton switch to show the FUEL page on the ECAM lower display unit.
(4) Make sure that the F.USED indications on the FUEL page are correctly shown.

(2) Refuel the aircraft as follows:
(a) Fully refuel the wing tanks until:
(c) Make sure that this total mass is equal to the maximum capacity of the applicable wing tank.
Subtask 28-40-00-040-085-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO FILL THE TANKS MORE THAN NECESSARY NEAR THE END OF THE REFUEL PROCEDURE. WHEN YOU USE THE MANUAL OVERRIDE (MANUAL PLUNGER), THE HIGH-LEVEL PROTECTION SYSTEM WILL NOT STOP THE REFUELING AUTOMATICALLY. THUS THERE IS A RISK OF OVERFILLING AND FUEL SPILLAGE.
CAUTION:
DO NOT REFUEL OR DEFUEL THROUGH THE TWO REFUEL/DEFUEL COUPLINGS AT THE SAME TIME.
THIS IS TO PREVENT PRESSURE DIFFERENCE PROBLEMS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET THE REFUEL PRESSURE BE MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM PRESSURE OF 50 PSI (3.45 BARS). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(1) Do a test of the high level sensors (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-710-001).(2) Refuel the aircraft as follows:
(a) Fully refuel the wing tanks until:
- The high level sensors operate and
- The high level lights on REFUEL/DEFUEL control panel 800VU come on (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-004).
(c) Make sure that this total mass is equal to the maximum capacity of the applicable wing tank.
