A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

   (1) Open the access door 192MB.
NOTE: If operating in battery power, do not keep the door open longer than necessary because the battery can discharge.

D. Fuel Configuration
   (1) Refuel, defuel or transfer fuel as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001) to get:
  • a minimum of 900 kg (1980 lbs) to a maximum of 4000 kg (8820 lbs) in the inner cell of each wing tank
  • maximum fuel in the outer cell of each wing tank.

E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (2) On the panel 11VU, push (in) the FUEL P/BSW.
   (3) On the panel 800VU:
  • set the MODE SELECT SWITCH to the REFUEL.
NOTE: It is necessary in this test to transfer fuel from the outer cell of each wing tank to its related inner cell.

A. Transfer Valve Indication - Intercell Transfer
   (1) Do this test:

1.Open, safety clip and tag C/B 3QP
On the ECAM DU:
  • make sure that the right-wing outer-cell fuel content decreases and the right- wing inner-cell fuel content increases.
2.Remove the safety clip and the tag and close C/B 3QP
On the ECAM DU:
  • make sure that the fuel transfer stops.
3.Open, safety clip and tag C/B 4QP
On the ECAM DU:
  • make sure that the left-wing outer-cell fuel content decreases and the left- wing inner-cell fuel content increases.
4.Remove the safety clip and the tag and close C/B 4QP
On the ECAM DU:
  • make sure that the fuel transfer stops.
5.Open, safety clip and tag C/B 2QP
On the ECAM DU:
  • make sure that the left-wing outer-cell fuel content decreases and the left- wing inner-cell fuel content increases.
6.Remove the safety clip and the tag and close C/B 2QP
On the ECAM DU:
  • make sure that the fuel transfer stops.
7.Open, safety clip and tag C/B 1QP
On the ECAM DU:
  • make sure that the right-wing outer-cell fuel content decreases and the right- wing inner-cell fuel content increases.
8.Remove the safety clip and the tag and close C/B 1QP
On the ECAM DU:
  • make sure that the fuel transfer stops.
5. Close-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the panel 800VU:
  • set the MODE SELECT switch to the OFF position.
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (3) Make an applicable entry in the aircraft log.
