3. Job Set-up
Subtask 28-29-41-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the center tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU compartment.
   (3) Make sure that the access door 315AL is open.
   (4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position under the main door of the left main gear.
   (5) Make sure that the main door of the left main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001) is open.
   (6) Make sure that the manhole cover 147AZ is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
   (7) Make sure that the APU fuel LP valve actuator 3QF is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-29-51-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-29-41-420-050-A
A. Installation of the APU Fuel-LP Valve
   (1) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the pump (1) and the lines (3), (10) and (20).
   (2) Apply Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) on a new AIPC 28-29-05-01-010 ORING (17) or AIPC 28-29-85-01-010 ORING (17), AIPC 28-22-05-01-020 ORING (27) or AIPC 28-22-85-01-080 ORING (27), AIPC 28-22-05-01-010 ORING (28) or AIPC 28-22-85-01-070 ORING (28) AIPC 28-22-05-01-030 ORING (2) or AIPC 28-22-85-01-050 ORING (2) and AIPC 28-22-05-01-010 CIRCLIPS (7) or AIPC 28-22-85-01-070 CIRCLIPS (7).
   (3) Install the new O-rings (17), (27) and (28) on the valve (18).
   (4) Install the valve (18) on the rear spar (16):
     (a) Make sure that the valve (18) is in the closed position.
   (5) Install the washers (15) and the screws (14). Do not fully tighten at this time.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE CENTERING SHOULDER ON THE FLANGE IS FULLY ENGAGED IN THE VALVE BORE. IF NOT THE LINE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VALVE.
   (6) Connect the line (20) to the valve (18).
   (7) Install the nuts (19).
   (8) TORQUE the nuts (19) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
T.
   (9) Install the bonding straps (9) and (21) with the washer (25), the bolt (24) and the nut (26).
   (10) TORQUE the nut (26) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
T.
   (11) Install the circlips (7) in the coupling nut (8).
   (12) Install the coupling nut (8) on the line (10).
   (13) Connect the line (10) to the valve (18).
   (14) Tighten the coupling nut (8) with your hand.
   (15) Install the new O-ring (2) on the line (3).
   (16) Connect the line (3) to the pump (1).
   (17) Install the washers (4) and the screws (5).
   (18) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 10.6 and 8.2 m.N (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
T.
   (19) Install the bonding straps (11) and (12) with the screw (13) and the nut (6).
   (20) TORQUE the nut (6) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
T.
   (21) TORQUE the screws (14) to between 10.6 and 8.2 m.N (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
T.
   (22) Install the APU fuel-LP valve-actuator [
3QF] (Ref. AMM TASK 28-29-51-400-001).

B. Do the operational test of the APU fuel LP valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-29-00-710-001).

C. Leak Test
   (1) Make sure that there are no leaks at the valve (18) and the connections between the lines (3), (10) and (20).
   (2) Remove the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that there are no unwanted objects and materials, tools or other equipment in the center tank.
   (2) Install the manhole cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
   (3) Close the main door of the left main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (4) Close the access door 315AL.
   (5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (6) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Refuel the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
