D. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU compartment.
   (2) Open the access door 315AL.

E. Installation of the Adapter
   (1) Remove the blanking plug from the APU fuel vent and drain valve.
   (2) Install the 98A28007570000 ADAPTER - VENT AND DRAIN VALVE, APU.
   (3) Put a CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the APU fuel vent and drain valve to collect the fuel.

F. On the front firewall FR80 at the tail cone:
   (1) Push and hold the VENT APU FUEL LINE pushbutton switch (8QC).
   (2) When the flow of the fuel stops (2 liters), release the VENT APU FUEL LINE pushbutton switch (8QC).

G. Removal of the Adapter
   (1) Remove the container.
   (2) Remove the 98A28007570000 ADAPTER - VENT AND DRAIN VALVE, APU.
   (3) Install the blanking plug on the APU fuel vent and drain valve.

H. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

I. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position under the main door of the left main gear.
   (2) Open the main door of the left main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (3) Remove the manhole cover 147AZ (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
   (4) Remove the APU fuel LP valve actuator 3QF (Ref. AMM TASK 28-29-51-000-001).

J. You must obey the special fuel safety procedures when you work in the fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-29-41-020-050-A
A. Removal of the APU Fuel-LP Valve
   (1) Put the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the valve (18).
   (2) Remove the nut (6), the screw (13) and disconnect the bonding straps (11) and (12).
   (3) Remove the screws (5) and the washers (4).
   (4) Remove and discard the O-ring (2).
   (5) Loosen and remove the coupling nut (8).
   (6) Remove the line (3) from the pump (1) and the line (10) from the valve (18).
   (7) Remove the circlips (7) from the coupling nut (8).
   (8) Remove the nut (26), the bolt (24), the washer (25) and disconnect the bonding straps (9) and (21).
   (9) Remove the nuts (19).
   (10) Disconnect the line (20) from the valve (18).
NOTE: Play at the connections between the lines (20), (22) and (23) will help you release the line (20).
   (11) Remove the screws (14) and the washers (15).
   (12) Remove the valve (18) from the rear spar (16).
   (13) Remove and discard the O-rings (17), (27) and (28).
   (14) Put the PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected pump (1) end and on the disconnected lines (20), (10) and (3) ends.
