A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on:

(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on:
- Refuel/defuel panel 801VU
- Fuel panel 40VU
- ACT control panel 28VU
to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is below aft cargo-compartment door 826.
(2) Make sure that aft cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
(4) Make sure that in the aft cargo compartment, cargo ceiling panel 151BC is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-002).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is below aft cargo-compartment door 826.
(2) Make sure that aft cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
(4) Make sure that in the aft cargo compartment, cargo ceiling panel 151BC is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-002).
Subtask 28-28-56-420-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Actuator on the Air Shutoff-Valve
(1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply a thin layer of Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the new AIPC 28-28-84-06-370 O-RING (6)AIPC 28-28-84-05-555 O-RING (6).
(5) Put the new AIPC 28-28-84-06-370 O-RING (6) in the groove of the air shutoff valve (1).
(6) Put the ACT air shutoff-valve-actuator (3) in the correct installation position on the air shutoff valve (1).
(7) Install the V-clamp (5) on the base of the ACT air shutoff-valve-actuator (3) and the air shutoff valve (1).
(8) Close the V-clamp (5) and install the screw (2).

(11) Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the ACT air shutoff-valve-actuator (3).
Subtask 28-28-56-865-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.

(5) Put the new AIPC 28-28-84-06-370 O-RING (6) in the groove of the air shutoff valve (1).
(6) Put the ACT air shutoff-valve-actuator (3) in the correct installation position on the air shutoff valve (1).
(7) Install the V-clamp (5) on the base of the ACT air shutoff-valve-actuator (3) and the air shutoff valve (1).
(8) Close the V-clamp (5) and install the screw (2).
CAUTION:
DO NOT TORQUE THE V-CLAMP(S) TO MORE THAN THE SPECIFIED VALUE. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FLANGE SURFACES.
(9) TORQUE the screw (2) to between 0.12 and 0.10 m.daN (10.62 and 8.85 lbf.in )
. CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.(11) Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the ACT air shutoff-valve-actuator (3).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Test(s)
(1) Do the operational test of the ACT automatic-transfer system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-00-710-005).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the ACT automatic-transfer system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-00-710-005).
NOTE: If ACT AFT3 is installed in the aft cargo compartment, you can do the test after the installation of ACT AFT3.
Subtask 28-28-56-410-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Install cargo ceiling panel 151BC (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-002).
(2) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(3) Close aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
Subtask 28-28-56-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install cargo ceiling panel 151BC (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-002).
(2) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(3) Close aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Air Shutoff-Valve Actuator
