3. Job Set-up
Subtask 28-28-54-860-057-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (3) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU, fuel control panel 40VU and ACT control panel 28VU:
     (a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.
   (4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position below aft cargo compartment door 826.
   (5) Make sure that aft cargo compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (6) Make sure that CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is set to the ON position.
   (7) FOR [94QH1] (ACTUATOR-FUEL INLET VALVE, ACT1)
     (a) Make sure that the Additional Center Tank (ACT) AFT2 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).
   (8) FOR [94QH2] (ACTUATOR-FUEL INLET VALVE, ACT2)
     (a) Make sure that the integrated impact wall is removed from the ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-000-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-54-420-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the ACT Fuel Inlet Valve-Actuator
CAUTION: DO NOT TRY TO TURN THE DRIVE OF THE ACTUATOR BECAUSE YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Put the actuator (1) in the correct installation position on the ACT fuel inlet valve (4).
   (4) Install the V-clamp (2) on the base of the actuator (1) and on the ACT fuel inlet valve (4).
   (5) Close the V-clamp (2) and tighten the screw (3) to secure the actuator (1).
   (6) Connect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE COMPONENT DURING THE PROCEDURE. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO COMPONENT.
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION: WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, MAKE SURE THAT YOU CONNECT EACH PLUG TO THE CORRECT RECEPTACLE (USE THE IDENTIFICATION MARKS).
     (c) Connect the electrical connectors (5) to their related receptacles (6). Refer to the identification marks made during the removal procedure.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) FOR [94QH1] (ACTUATOR-FUEL INLET VALVE, ACT1)
     (a) Install the ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-003).
   (3) FOR [94QH2] (ACTUATOR-FUEL INLET VALVE, ACT2)
     (a) Install the integrated impact wall on the ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-400-002).
   (4) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
   (5) Close aft cargo compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (6) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 28-28-54-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) From refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU, fuel control panel 40VU and ACT control panel 28VU:
     (a) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
