A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Obey the safety procedures when you work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(3) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(4) Make sure that the ACTs are completely drained from fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-005).
(5) FOR [230QM2] (VALVE-REFUEL RESTRICTOR, ACT2)
(a) Make sure that the ACT AFT2 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).
(6) FOR [230QM1] (VALVE-REFUEL RESTRICTOR, ACT1)
(a) Make sure that the ACT AFT1 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
(7) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU and on fuel control panel 40VU:
(a) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-45-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Refuel Restrictor Valve

CAUTION: DO THIS PROCEDURE ONLY IN THE WORKSHOP. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE BLADDER TANK CAN OCCUR.

(1) Install the ACT refuel restrictor-valve(s) in the workshop.

B. Close Access
(1) FOR [230QM1] (VALVE-REFUEL RESTRICTOR, ACT1)
(a) Install the ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-002).
(2) FOR [230QM2] (VALVE-REFUEL RESTRICTOR, ACT2)
(a) Install the ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-003).

Subtask 28-28-45-710-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

C. Test
(1) Do the Operational Test of the Refuel System (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-710-003).

5. Close-up
Subtask 28-28-45-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) From refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU and from fuel control panel 40VU:
(a) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) De-energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
