A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Obey the safety procedures when you work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(3) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(4) Transfer the fuel from the Additional Center Tank(s) (ACT)(s) to the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(5) Drain the remaining fuel from the ACT(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-005).
(6) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU and on fuel control panel 40VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.

B. Get Access

NOTE: To remove equipment from inside of an ACT, you must remove the ACT from the aircraft.

(1) FOR [230QM1] (VALVE-REFUEL RESTRICTOR, ACT1)
(a) Remove the ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
(2) FOR [230QM2] (VALVE-REFUEL RESTRICTOR, ACT2)
(a) Remove the ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Refuel Restrictor Valve

CAUTION: DO THIS PROCEDURE ONLY IN THE WORKSHOP. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE BLADDER TANK CAN OCCUR.

(1) Send the ACT to the workshop for the removal of the ACT refuel restrictor-valve(s).
