A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the panels that follow, to tell persons not to operate the fuel system:
  • Refuel/Defuel control panels 800VU and 801VU
  • Fuel control panel 40VU
  • Additional Center Tank (ACT) control panel 28VU.

B. Get Access
   (1) Remove belly fairing access-panel 192AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-44-020-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Leak Monitor
   (1) With the 98A28104000000 PURGER - WATER DRAIN, drain the leak monitor (1).
CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE HOSE NUTS. USE ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTING AND ONE WRENCH TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE HOSE NUT. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS CAN OCCUR.
   (2) Loosen the nut (6) to disconnect the hose assembly (5).
   (3) Remove the reducer union (7) and the O-ring (8). Discard the O-ring (8).
   (4) Remove the bolts (3) and the washers (4).
   (5) Remove the leak monitor (1) and the O-ring (2). Discard the O-ring (2).
   (6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
