Installation of the ACT Pressure Reducing Valve

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the AFT cargo compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the AFT cargo compartment door.
(5) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position on:
Subtask 28-28-42-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the AFT cargo compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the AFT cargo compartment door.
(5) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position on:
- The refuel/defuel panel 801VU
- The fuel panel 40VU
- The ACT control panel 28VU
To tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 28-28-42-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Pressure Reducing Valve
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the line ends and the ports of the pressure reducing valve (6).
(4) Put the pressure reducing valve (6) with the valve bracket (2) in position at the support bracket (1).
(5) Install the bolts (3), the washers (8) and the nuts (9); do not fully tighten the nuts at this time.
(6) Install the union nuts (4), (5) and (7) to their related ports on the pressure reducing valve (6).
(7) Now fully tighten the nuts (9).
Subtask 28-28-42-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the line ends and the ports of the pressure reducing valve (6).
(4) Put the pressure reducing valve (6) with the valve bracket (2) in position at the support bracket (1).
(5) Install the bolts (3), the washers (8) and the nuts (9); do not fully tighten the nuts at this time.
(6) Install the union nuts (4), (5) and (7) to their related ports on the pressure reducing valve (6).
(7) Now fully tighten the nuts (9).
B. Test
(1) A test after installation of this component is not necessary.

B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Install the ceiling panel 151BC in the AFT cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-002)
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) Install the ceiling panel 151BC in the AFT cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-002)
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
