3. Job Set-up
Subtask 28-28-39-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on:

Refuel/defuel control panel 800/801VU,
Fuel control panel 40VU
to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.

Subtask 28-28-39-010-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Get Access
(1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the opening of the aft cargo-compartment.
(3) In the aft cargo-compartment, remove access panel 152YW from sidewall panel 152DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-003).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-39-960-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Replace ACT Air Inlet Filter
(1) Remove the nut (2) from plate (3).
(2) Remove the plate (3) from the filter element (1).
(3) Remove the filter element (1) from the structure.
(4) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(6) Put the new AIPC 28-28-39-01-010 FILTER ELEMENT (1) in position.
(7) Put the end plate (3) on the filter element (1) and install the nut (2).
(8) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 0.2 and 0.19 m.daN (17.70 and 16.81 lbf.in )

5. Close-up
Subtask 28-28-39-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) In the aft cargo-compartment, install access panel 152YW on sidewall panel 152DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-003).
(3) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).

Subtask 28-28-39-860-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
