BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET AIRCRAFT FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001)
(2) Obey the safety procedures when you work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(4) Make sure that the Additional Center Tanks (ACTs) are completely drained from fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-005).
(5) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU and on fuel control panel 40VU:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.
(6) FOR [228QM1] (VALVE-FUEL INLET, ACT1)
(a) Make sure that the ACT AFT1 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
(7) FOR [228QM2] (VALVE-FUEL INLET, ACT2)
(a) Make sure that the ACT AFT2 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).
4. Procedure(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001)
(2) Obey the safety procedures when you work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(4) Make sure that the Additional Center Tanks (ACTs) are completely drained from fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-005).
(5) On refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU and on fuel control panel 40VU:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.
(6) FOR [228QM1] (VALVE-FUEL INLET, ACT1)
(a) Make sure that the ACT AFT1 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
(7) FOR [228QM2] (VALVE-FUEL INLET, ACT2)
(a) Make sure that the ACT AFT2 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).

A. Installation of the ACT Fuel Inlet Valve
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO THIS PROCEDURE ONLY IN THE WORKSHOP. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE BLADDER TANK CAN OCCUR.
(1) Install the ACT(s) fuel inlet-valve(s) in the workshop. Subtask 28-28-34-410-054-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) FOR [228QM1] (VALVE-FUEL INLET, ACT1)
(a) Install the ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-002).
(3) FOR [228QM2] (VALVE-FUEL INLET, ACT2)
(a) Install the ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-003).
Subtask 28-28-34-710-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 28-28-34-942-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

(3) FOR [228QM2] (VALVE-FUEL INLET, ACT2)
(a) Install the ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-003).
C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) From refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU and from fuel control panel 40VU:
(a) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) From refuel/defuel control panels 801VU and 800VU and from fuel control panel 40VU:
(a) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
