B. Leak Test
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the vent line connection of the ACT:
  • Carefully pressurize the ACT up to 220 mbar (3.19 psi).
On the pressure gauge at the vent line connection:
  • The air-pressure in the ACT increases to 220 mbar (3.19 psi).
2.On the cavity drain port connection of the ACT:
  • Carefully pressurize the interspaces of the ACT up to 200 mbar (2.90 psi).
On the pressure gauge at the cavity drain port connection:
  • The air pressure in the interspaces of the ACT increases to 200 mbar (2.90 psi).
  • Make sure that the air pressure in the interspaces of the ACT does not increase.
NOTE: Too high air pressure with more than 275 mbar (3.99 psi) in the interspaces of an ACT can cause damage on the rubber bladder tank.
  • Make sure that the air pressure of 200 mbar (2.90 psi) is stable for 15 minutes.
3.Apply a SOLUTION - LEAK DETECTION on the structure interfaces of the manhole cover to find possible leaks.
Make sure there are no leaks of air on the outer manhole cover.
NOTE: If you find leaks of air, you must do an approved repair.
4.On the cavity drain port connection of the ACT:
  • Stop the airflow.
  • Carefully release the air pressure from the interspaces of the ACT.
On the pressure gauge at the cavity drain port connection:
  • The air pressure in the interspaces of the ACT decreases to zero.
5.On the vent line connection of the ACT:
  • Stop the airflow.
  • Carefully release the air pressure from the ACT vent-line.
On the pressure gauge at the vent line connection:
  • The air pressure in the ACT decreases to zero.
