3. Job Set-up
Subtask 28-28-00-860-153-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (4) Open the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (5) Make sure that the applicable ACT's are installed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-003) (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-40).
   (6) Make sure that the FLSCU1, the FLSCU2 and the FQIC are installed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-34-400-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).
   (7) On the 800VU and 801VU make sure that:
  • The "MODE SELECT" switch is in "OFF" position
  • The "REFUEL VALVE AFT1" switch is in "NORM" position
  • The "REFUEL VALVE AFT2" switch is in "NORM" position
  • The "REFUEL VALVE FWD" switch is in "NORM" position
  • The "REFUEL VALVE LEFT" switch is in "NORM" position
  • The "REFUEL VALVE CTR" switch is in "NORM" position
  • The "REFUEL VALVE RIGHT" switch is in "NORM" position.
   (8) Close refuel/defuel panel 800VU 801VU.
   (9) In the cockpit on the 28VU, make sure that:
  • In the pushbutton switch "FWD ACT" the "FAULT" light and the "OVRD" light is off.
  • In the pushbutton switch "ALL ACT" the "OVFL" light and the "ISOL" light is off.
  • In the pushbutton switch "ACT XFR" the "FAULT" light and the "MAN" light is off.
  • The "ACT XFR" switch is in "OFF" position.
   (10) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on:
  • Refuel/defuel panel 800VU and 801VU
  • Fueling panel 28VU and 40VU
    To tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system.

   (1) In Avionic Compartment 90VU:
     (a) Remove the ALSCU from 92VU (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-35-000-001).
     (b) Install the dummy of the RIN28108606000 BOX-SIMULATION,ALSCU in the rack of 92VU.
     (c) Remove the AFMC from the 92VU (Ref. AMM TASK 28-51-35-000-001).
     (d) Install the dummy of the RIN28108587000 BOX-VALVE CONTROL,ACT in the rack of the 92VU.
   (2) Put the control panels of the BOX-SIMULATION,ALSCU and the BOX-VALVE CONTROL,ACT in the cockpit.
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-00-720-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Functional Test of ACT AFT1 Inlet Valve 94QH1

NOTE: This procedure is applicable only if ACT AFT1 is installed.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/AFMC/SPLY" 4QN.
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL/SPLY" 2QU.
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MAN CTL SPLY AFT1" 45QH.
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV/MOT1/MAN SPLY/AFT1" 46QH.

2.On 28VU:
  • Make sure the "ACT XFR" rotary switch is in "OFF" position.
  • Push the pushbutton switch "ACT XFR MODE SEL" to the "MAN" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT1 inlet-valve moves to the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve comes on.
NOTE: There is no access to the ACT inlet-valves in the cargo compartment, you can see the valve only during the test.
3.On 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to "AFT 1" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT1 inlet-valve moves to the open position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "OPEN" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve comes on.
4.On the 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to the "OFF" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT1 inlet-valve moves to the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "OPEN" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "SHUT" light of the ACT AFT1 inlet-valve comes on.
5.On 121VU:
  • Open the circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV/MOT1/MAN SPLY/AFT1" 46QH.
  • Close the circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MOT2 AUTO SP AFT1" 44QH1.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT1 inlet-valve stays in the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve stays on.
6.On 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to "AFT1" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT1 inlet-valve moves to the open position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "OPEN" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve comes on.
7.On 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to the "OFF" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT1 inlet-valve moves to the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "OPEN" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve comes on.
On the 28VU:
  • Release the pushbutton switch "ACT XFR MODE SEL" to the "AUTO" position.

8.On 121VU:
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/AFMC/SPLY" 4QN.
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL/SPLY" 2QU.
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MAN CTL SPLY/AFT1" 45QH.
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MOT2 AUTO SP AFT1" 44QH1.
On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT1 inlet-valve goes off.

B. Functional Test of ACT AFT2 inlet valve 94QH2

NOTE: This procedure is applicable only if ACT AFT2 is installed.

1.On 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/AFMC/SPLY" 4QN.
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL/SPLY" 2QU.
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MAN CTL SPLY AFT2" 81QH.
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV/MOT1/ AFT2" 84QH.

2.On 28VU:
  • Make sure the "ACT XFR" rotary switch is in "OFF" position.
  • Push the pushbutton switch "ACT XFR MODE SEL" to the "MAN" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT2 inlet-valve moves to the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of the ACT AFT2 inlet-valve comes on.
NOTE: There is no access to the ACT inlet-valves in the cargo compartment, you can see the valve only during the test.
3.On 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to "AFT2" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:

In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT2 inlet-valve stays in the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT2 inlet-valve stays on.
6.On 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to "AFT2" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT2 inlet-valve moves to the open position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT2 inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "OPEN" light of ACT AFT2 inlet-valve comes on.
7.On the 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to the "OFF" position.
In the aft cargo compartment:
  • ACT AFT2 inlet-valve moves to the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "OPEN" light of ACT AFT2 inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT2 inlet-valve comes on.
On the 28VU:
  • Release the push button switch "ACT XFR MODE SEL" to the "AUTO" position.

8.On 121VU:
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/AFMC/SPLY" 4QN.
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL/SPLY" 2QU.
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MAN CTL SPLY AFT2" 81QH.
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MOT2 AUTO SP AFT2" 44QH2.
On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT AFT2 inlet-valve goes off.

C. Functional Test of ACT FWD Inlet Valve 94QH4

NOTE: This procedure is applicable only if the ACT FWD is installed.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On 121VU:
  • Close the circuit breaker "FUEL/AFMC/SPLY" 4QN.
  • Close the circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL/SPLY" 2QU.

On refuel/defuel panel 800VU and 801VU:
  • Open the refuel panel door.

On the BOX-SIMULATION, ALSCU:
  • Move the switch "FWD ACT Non Isolation 2" to ON.
  • Move the switch "FWD ACT Non Isolation 1" to ON.

On 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL CTL/FWD" 60QU.
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL INLET VLV/FWD" 61QU.
  • Close circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MAN CTL SPLY FWD" 47QH.

On 49VU:
  • Close the circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MOT1 SPLY FWD" 48QH.

On 28VU:
  • Make sure that the "ACT XFR" rotary switch is in "OFF" position.
  • Push the pushbutton switch "ACT XFR MODE SEL" to the "MAN" position.
In the forward cargo compartment:
  • The ACT FWD inlet-valve is in the closed position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve comes on.
NOTE: There is no access to the ACT inlet valves in the cargo compartment, you can hear the valve only during the test.
2.On 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to "FWD" position.
In the forward cargo compartment:
  • The ACT FWD inlet-valve moves to the open position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "OPEN" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve comes on.
3.On the 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to the "OFF" position.
In the forward cargo compartment:
  • The ACT FWD inlet-valve moves to the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "OPEN" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "SHUT" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve comes on.
4.On 49VU:
  • Open the circuit breaker "ACT FWD INLET VLV MOT1 SPLY" 48QH.

On 121VU:
  • Close the circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MOT2 SPLY FWD" 49QH.
In the forward cargo compartment:
  • The ACT FWD inlet-valve stays in the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve stays on.
5.On 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to "FWD" position.
In the forward cargo compartment:
  • The ACT FWD inlet-valve moves to the open position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "OPEN" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve comes on.
6.On the 28VU:
  • Move the "ACT XFR" rotary switch to the "OFF" position.
In the forward cargo compartment:
  • The ACT FWD inlet-valve moves to the close position.

On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "OPEN" light of ACT FWD inlet-valve goes off.
  • The "SHUT" light of ACT FWD inlet-valve comes on.
On 28VU:
  • Release the pushbutton switch "ACT XFR MODE SEL" to the "AUTO" position.

On the BOX-SIMULATION, ALSCU:
  • Move the switch "FWD ACT Non Isolation 2" to OFF.
  • Move the switch "FWD ACT Non Isolation 1" to OFF.

7.On 121VU:
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/AFMC/SPLY" 4QN.
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL/SPLY" 2QU.
  • Open circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MOT2 SPLY FWD" 49QH.
  • Open the circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL CTL/FWD" 60QU.
  • Open the circuit breaker "FUEL/RFL/DFL INLET VLV/ACT FWD" 61QU.
  • Open the circuit breaker "FUEL/INLET VLV MAN CTL SPLY FWD" 47QH.

On the refuel/defuel panel 800VU and 801VU:
  • Close the refuel panel door.
On the BOX-VALVE CONTROL, ACT:
  • The "SHUT" light of the ACT FWD inlet-valve goes off.
5. Close-up
Subtask 28-28-00-410-072-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. In Avionic Compartment 90VU.
   (1) Remove the dummy of the BOX-SIMULATION,ALSCU from the rack of 92VU.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Install the ALSCU in 92VU (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-35-400-001).
   (4) Remove the dummy of the BOX-VALVE CONTROL,ACT from the rack of 92VU.
   (5) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (6) Install the AFMC in 92VU (Ref. AMM TASK 28-51-35-400-001).
   (7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the FWD and AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (3) Do the test of the tank high-level-sensing system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-46-00-710-002).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Do the annunciator light test (Ref. AMM TASK 33-14-00-710-001).
   (6) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (7) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
   (8) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
