A. Preparation for the Test
   (1) In the aft cargo-compartment:
     (a) Close the pressurization system of the ACT(s):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (4) and disconnect the hose (1) from the adapter (2).
2 Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

     (b) Install the Test Tool on the T1 and T2 test ports:
F Test Tool Arrangement ACT ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
1 Connect an AIR SOURCE 2 BAR (30 PSI) - REGULATED, FILTERED, DRY pressure maximum to the test port T1.
2 Connect a GAGE 5 BAR (75 PSI) - PRESSURE maximum to the test port T2.
NOTE: This pressure gage must have a fine scale with steps of 0.001 bar (0.0145 psi).
NOTE: You can use the 98D28108658000 TOOL-PRESSURE TEST,ACT as an alternative tool and connect it to the T1 and T2 test ports.
     (c) Install the 99D28108418000 ACT VALVE CONTROL BOX on the ACT Air Shut-Off Valve Actuator (3QH):
F ACT Valve Control Box ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

WARNING: WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR:
  • USE THE CORRECT PROTECTION (FACE SHIELD OR GOGGLES)
  • DO NOT POINT THE AIRFLOW AT YOURSELF OR OTHER PERSONS.
LOOSE PARTICLES AND/OR HIGH PRESSURE AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY.
B. Test
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the ACT PRESSURE TEST TOOL:
  • pressurize the test port T1 to 0.75 bar (10.8778 psi).
On the pressure gage at the test port T2:
  • the air pressure indication increases to 0.17 +0.05 bar or -0 bar (2.4656 +0.7252 psi or +0.0000 psi),
  • make sure that the air pressure indication is stable at 0.17 +0.05 bar or -0 bar (2.4656 +0.7252 psi or +0.0000 psi).
2.On the ACT PRESSURE TEST TOOL:
  • release the air pressure from the test port T1.
On the pressure gage at the test port T2:
  • the air pressure indication stays at approximately 0.17 bar (2.4656 psi).
NOTE: The air pressure at the test port T2 must stay because the check valve 178QM holds the air pressure.
Subtask 28-28-00-860-189-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Put the system back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) In the aft cargo-compartment:

1 Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
2 Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
3 Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
4 Connect the hose (1) to the ACT and tighten the coupling nut (4).

     (b) Remove the ACT PRESSURE TEST TOOL from the test ports T1 and T2.
     (c) Make sure that the couplings of ports T1 and T2 are in position fully CLOSED.
     (d) Disconnect the ACT VALVES CONTROL BOX from the ACT Air Shut-Off Valve Actuator (3QH) and the connector-plug 3QH-A.
     (e) Connect the connector 3QH-A to the ACT Air Shut-Off Valve Actuator (3QH).
