A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Energize the Ground Service Network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on these panels to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system:
Subtask 28-28-00-010-080-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Energize the Ground Service Network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on these panels to tell persons not to operate the refuel/defuel system:
- Refuel/Defuel control panel 800/801VU
- Fuel control panel 40VU.
B. Get Access
(1) Remove the ACT vent-line check-valves from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-63-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-63-000-002).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the ACT vent-line check-valves from the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-63-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-63-000-002).

A. Inspection of the ACT Vent-Line Check-Valves
(1) Send the ACT vent-line check-valves to the workshop to do a bench check.
(2) Make sure that the internal sprung flapper of the valve operates correctly.
5. Close-up(1) Send the ACT vent-line check-valves to the workshop to do a bench check.

A. Close Access
(1) Install the ACT vent-line check-valves in the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-63-400-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-63-400-002).
Subtask 28-28-00-860-147-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the ACT vent-line check-valves in the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-63-400-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-63-400-002).
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
