A. Operational Check of Forward ACT Isolation Valve
ACTION
RESULT
1.In the main gear bay, on isolation valve actuator (92QH):
  • Disconnect electrical connector 92QH A from the isolation valve actuator and put a blanking cap on the open line end.
NOTE: Airbus recommends you to do the test on motor No.2 of the isolation valve actuator.

2.Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
In the main gear bay, on the isolation valve actuator:
  • The indicator of the isolation valve actuator is in the open position.
3.In the cockpit, on ACT control panel 28VU, make sure that:
  • The FWD ACT OVRD P/BSW is in the OFF position
  • The FWD ACT FAULT indication is in the OFF position.

4.In the cockpit, set the Auxiliary Fuel Management Computer (AFMC):
  • On panel 121VU, open circuit breaker 70QH "FUEL/FUEL FWD/ISOL VLV/MOT2 CTL"
  • On panel 49VU, open circuit breaker 60QH "FUEL FWD ISOL VLV MOT1 CTL".

5.After a minimum of 10 seconds:
  • On panel 121VU, close circuit breaker 70QH "FUEL/FUEL FWD/ISOL VLV/MOT2 CTL"
  • On panel 49VU, close circuit breaker 60QH "FUEL FWD ISOL VLV MOT1 CTL".
In the main gear bay, on the isolation valve actuator:
  • Wait for a minimum of 3 minutes and monitor the indicator of the isolation valve actuator at the same time
  • The indicator of the isolation valve actuator moves from the open position to the closed position and then goes back to the open position.
6.De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
7.In the main gear bay, on the isolation valve actuator:
  • Connect electrical connector 92QH A to the isolation valve actuator
  • Disconnect electrical connector 92QH B from the isolation valve actuator and put a blanking cap on the open line end.
NOTE: Airbus recommends you to do the test on motor No.1 of the isolation valve actuator.
8.Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

9.Do steps 3., 4. and 5. again.
In the main gear bay, on the isolation valve actuator:
  • Monitor the indicator of the isolation valve actuator during 3 minutes
  • The indicator of the isolation valve actuator moves from the open position to the closed position and then goes back to the open position.
10.De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
11.In the main gear bay, on the isolation valve actuator:
  • Connect electrical connector 92QH B to the isolation valve actuator.

5. Close-up
Subtask 28-28-00-410-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Close the main gear doors after access (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
Subtask 28-28-00-860-109-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
