Subtask 28-28-00-860-100-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (4) On the ECAM control panel push the FUEL pushbutton switch, on the lower ECAM DU the FUEL page comes into view.
     (a) On the lower ECAM DU, make sure that the fuel quantity in ACT AFT1, ACT AFT2, and ACT FWD is 400 +50 kg or -150 kg (881.8488 +110.2311 lb or -330.6933 lb) in each ACT.
     (b) On the lower ECAM DU, make sure that the fuel quantity in the RH and LH wing tanks is approximately 5000 +100 kg or -100 kg (11023.1100 +220.4622 lb or -220.4622 lb).
     (c) On the lower ECAM DU, make sure that the fuel quantity in the center tank is approximately 250 kg (551.1555 lb).
NOTE: The 5000 kg fuel in the RH and LH wing tanks are used for ballast purposes. The weight of fuel in the wing tanks reduce the risk of a larger change on the longitudinal center of gravity, which can be caused by the higher load of fuel in the ACT(s), installed in the cargo compartment.
   (5) Open the main gear doors for access (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (6) Open refuel/defuel control panel door 192MB.

2.On overhead FUEL ACT panel 28VU:
  • Put the ACT XFR rotary switch to AFT1.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • The arrow symbol comes on green
  • The fuel quantity of ACT AFT1 decreases.

In the compartment of the main landing gear at FR 42 (Left port center tank access door):
  • Make sure that the ACT fuel-transfer pump operates
  • The position indicator of the ACT fuel-transfer-valve actuator shows the open position (in-line).
3.On overhead FUEL ACT panel 28VU:
  • Put the ACT XFR rotary switch to AFT2.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • The arrow symbol comes on green
  • The fuel quantity of ACT AFT2 decreases.

In the compartment of the main landing gear at FR 42 (Left port center tank access door):
  • Make sure that the ACT fuel-transfer pump operates
  • The position indicator of the ACT fuel-transfer-valve actuator shows the open position (in-line).
4.On overhead FUEL ACT panel 28VU:
  • Put the ACT XFR rotary switch to FWD.
On the lower ECAM DU:
