A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-00-860-096-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the FUEL section of panel 40VU, make sure that all the L TK PUMPS and R TK PUMPS pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
   (2) On refuel/defuel control panel 800/801VU, make sure that the door is closed.
   (3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) below access door 195BB.
   (4) Open access door 195BB to get access to the actuator.
   (5) Do the flight configuration precaution procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

B. Operational Test of the ACT Vent-Valve Actuator (automatic operation)
ACTION
RESULT
1.In the cockpit, open these circuit breakers:
  • On 49VU, LGCIU/SYS1, 1GA
  • On 121VU, LGCIU/SYS2, 2GA
  • On 121VU, LGCIU/SYS1/GRNDSPLY, 52GA.
NOTE: To make the condition that the aircraft is in flight.
In zone 195 on actuator 91QH:
  • The vent valve moves to the close position.
NOTE: You can see the valve position on the indication at the ACT vent-valve actuator.
2.In the cockpit, close these circuit breakers:
  • On 49VU, LGCIU/SYS1, 1GA
  • On 121VU, LGCIU/SYS2, 2GA
  • On 121VU, LGCIU/SYS1/GRNDSPLY, 52GA.
NOTE: After you set the LGCIU circuit breakers, a PFR-print out can occur.
In zone 195 on actuator 91QH:
  • The ACT vent valve moves to the open position.

C. Operational Test of the ACT Vent-Valve Actuator (manual operation)
ACTION
RESULT
1.In the cockpit, on overhead panel 28VU:
  • Push the pushbutton switch ACT XFR MODE SEL.
On overhead panel 28VU:
  • The white/MAN legend comes on.

In zone 195, on actuator 91QH:
  • The ACT vent valve moves to the close position.
NOTE: You can see the valve position on the indication at the ACT vent-valve actuator.
2.In the cockpit, on overhead panel 28VU:
  • Release the pushbutton switch ACT XFR MODE SEL.
On overhead panel 28VU:
  • The white/MAN legend goes off.

On ACT vent-valve actuator 91QH:
  • The ACT vent valve moves to the open position.
5. Close-up
Subtask 28-28-00-860-097-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Put the aircraft back to the ground configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Close access panel 195BB.
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
   (6) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
   (7) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
