4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-00-710-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Test
NOTE: If the ACT transfer pump does not work correctly during this test, do the priming of the ACT transfer pump (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-002) and do this test again.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU:
  • push the ACT pushbutton switch.
On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU:
  • the FWD light in the ACT pushbutton switch is on,
  • the FAULT light in the ACT pushbutton switch is on for a moment and goes off.

On the lower ECAM DU:
  • the full green triangle comes into view (ACT PUMP PRESS),
NOTE: If two ACT(s) are installed, the fuel transfer starts with ACT2. When a low level is sensed in the ACT2, the fuel transfer from ACT1 to the center tank starts automatically.
  • the fuel quantity in ACT2 (if installed) or ACT1 decreases,
  • the fuel quantity in the center tank increases,
  • the fuel transfer rate of the ACT fuel pump must be between 64 kg (100 lb) and 84 kg (200 lb).
  • make sure that the fuel flows correctly to the center tank from all installed ACT(s).

On the left side of the main landing gear compartment, at the center tank access door:
  • you can hear that the ACT Fuel Transfer Pump (1QH) is on,
  • the position indicator of the ACT Fuel Transfer-Valve Actuator (6QH) shows the open position (in-line).
2.On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU:
  • push to release the ACT pushbutton switch.
On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU:
  • the FWD legend in the ACT pushbutton switch goes off.

On the lower ECAM DU:
  • the fuel transfer from the ACT to the center tank stops,
  • the green triangle goes out of view.

On the left side of the main landing gear compartment, at the center tank access door:
  • you hear that the ACT fuel transfer pump is off,
  • the position indicator of the ACT Fuel Transfer-Valve Actuator (6QH) shows the closed position (cross-line).
