Subtask 28-28-00-860-081-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
Subtask 28-28-00-010-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
- On the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU, to tell persons not to operate the APU/MASTER SW pushbutton switch.
- On the refuel/defuel control panel 801VU.
- On the FUEL section of the panel 40VU, to tell persons not to operate the fuel system.
- On the ENG/APU FIRE panel located on the overhead panel 20VU, to tell persons not to operate the fire extinguishing system.
B. Get Access
(1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the aft cargo door opening.
(3) Loosen the quick-release fasteners to remove the right Integrated Impact Wall (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-000-001).
Subtask 28-28-00-010-056-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the aft cargo door opening.
(3) Loosen the quick-release fasteners to remove the right Integrated Impact Wall (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-000-001).
B. Get Access
(1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the aft cargo door opening.
(3) Remove the right Integrated Impact Wall (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-000-001) to get access to the ACT2.
(4) Remove the cabin floor panel 252BG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001) to get access to the ACT1.
(5) Remove the applicable access panel from the ceiling of the cargo-compartment.
Subtask 28-28-00-865-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the aft cargo door opening.
(3) Remove the right Integrated Impact Wall (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-000-001) to get access to the ACT2.
(4) Remove the cabin floor panel 252BG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001) to get access to the ACT1.
(5) Remove the applicable access panel from the ceiling of the cargo-compartment.
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Reactivation of the Vent Valve
(1) Remove the T720521 TOOL-VALVE LOCKING (32) from the vent valve (28):
(a) Loosen the screw (27) and disconnect the V-clamp (26) from the locking tool (32).
(b) Remove the locking tool (32) from the V-flange of the vent valve (28).
(2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S) to disconnect the electrical connector (23) from the electrical harness.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the BRIDGE-WIRE (shunt) from the electrical connector (23).
(5) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(7) If the removed actuator (25) of the vent valve (28) is unserviceable, replace the ACT Vent Shut-off Valve Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-55-400-001).
(8) If the vent valve (28) has a failure in the open position, replace the ACT Vent Shut-off Valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-35-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-35-400-001).
(9) If the fault continues:
Subtask 28-28-00-440-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the T720521 TOOL-VALVE LOCKING (32) from the vent valve (28):
(a) Loosen the screw (27) and disconnect the V-clamp (26) from the locking tool (32).

(2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S) to disconnect the electrical connector (23) from the electrical harness.

(5) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(7) If the removed actuator (25) of the vent valve (28) is unserviceable, replace the ACT Vent Shut-off Valve Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-55-400-001).
(8) If the vent valve (28) has a failure in the open position, replace the ACT Vent Shut-off Valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-35-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-35-400-001).
(9) If the fault continues:
- trouble shoot the Vent Valve of the ACT as applicable TSM 28-28-00-810-836 TSM 28-28-00-810-839.
A. Reactivation of the Vent Valve
(a) Loosen the screw (27) and disconnect the V-clamp (26) from the locking tool (32).
(b) Remove the locking tool (32) from the V-flange of the vent valve (28).
(2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S) to disconnect the electrical connector (23) from the attached electrical harness.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the BRIDGE-WIRE (shunt) from the electrical connector (23).
(5) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(7) If the removed actuator (25) of the vent valve (28) is unserviceable, replace the ACT Vent Shut-off Valve Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-55-400-001).
(8) If the vent valve (28) has a failure in the open position, replace the ACT Vent Shut-off Valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-35-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-35-400-001).
(9) If the fault continues:
5. Close-upNOTE: The subsequent procedure is the same for each installed ACT. Therefore only one procedure is given. Differences between each ACT are given where applicable.
(1) Remove the T720521 TOOL-VALVE LOCKING (32) from the vent valve (28): (a) Loosen the screw (27) and disconnect the V-clamp (26) from the locking tool (32).
(b) Remove the locking tool (32) from the V-flange of the vent valve (28).
(2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S) to disconnect the electrical connector (23) from the attached electrical harness.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Remove the BRIDGE-WIRE (shunt) from the electrical connector (23).

(9) If the fault continues:
- trouble shoot the Vent Valve of the ACT as applicable TSM 28-28-00-810-836 TSM 28-28-00-810-839.
Subtask 28-28-00-865-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the right Integrated Impact Wall (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(7) Close the applicable entry in the aircraft technical log book.
Subtask 28-28-00-860-082-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the right Integrated Impact Wall (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(7) Close the applicable entry in the aircraft technical log book.
B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel in the ceiling of the cargo compartment.
(3) Install the cabin floor panel 252BG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
(4) Install the right Integrated Impact Wall (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-400-001).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(8) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(9) Close the applicable entry in the aircraft technical log book.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel in the ceiling of the cargo compartment.
(3) Install the cabin floor panel 252BG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
(4) Install the right Integrated Impact Wall (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-49-400-001).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(8) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(9) Close the applicable entry in the aircraft technical log book.
