(2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S) from the electrical harness to release the electrical connectors (3) and (4).
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) If the actuator (2) of the ACT fuel-transfer valve (1) is unserviceable, replace the ACT transfer-valve actuator (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-400-001).
(5) If the ACT fuel-transfer valve (1) has a failure in the OPEN position, replace the ACT fuel-transfer valve (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-33-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-33-400-001).
(6) If the fault continues:

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) When you do maintenance work on the fuel system you must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(3) On the APU section of overhead panel 25VU, make sure that the APU/MASTER SW pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
(4) On the FUEL section of panel 40VU, make sure that all the L TK PUMPS and R TK PUMPS pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(5) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:

(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) When you do maintenance work on the fuel system you must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(3) On the APU section of overhead panel 25VU, make sure that the APU/MASTER SW pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
(4) On the FUEL section of panel 40VU, make sure that all the L TK PUMPS and R TK PUMPS pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(5) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
- On the APU section of overhead panel 25VU, to tell persons not to operate the APU/MASTER SW pushbutton switch.
- On the FUEL section of panel 40VU, to tell persons not to operate the fuel system.
- On the ENG/APU FIRE panel located on overhead panel 20VU, to tell persons not to operate the fire extinguishing system.
- On the Additional Center Tank (ACT) control section of panel 28VU, to tell persons not to operate the fuel system.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
(1) Open the left Main Gear Door for Access (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position in the left MLG bay.
(3) Remove the Protective Cover from the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-003).
Subtask 28-28-00-010-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the left Main Gear Door for Access (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position in the left MLG bay.
(3) Remove the Protective Cover from the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-003).
C. Get Access
(1) Open the left main-gear door for access (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position in the left main landing-gear-bay.
(3) Remove the ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Open the left main-gear door for access (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position in the left main landing-gear-bay.
(3) Remove the ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

A. Reactivation of the ACT Fuel Transfer Valve
(2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S) from the electrical harness, to release the electrical connectors (4) and (11).
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) If the actuator (3) of the ACT Fuel Transfer Valve (1) is unserviceable, replace the ACT Transfer-Valve Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-400-001).
(6) If the ACT Fuel Transfer Valve (1) has a failure in the open position, replace the ACT Fuel Transfer Valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-33-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-33-400-001).
(7) If the fault continues:
Subtask 28-28-00-440-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The subsequent procedure is the same for each installed ACT. Therefore only one procedure is given. Differences between each ACT are given where applicable.
(1) Remove the T720521 TOOL-VALVE LOCKING from the flange of the ACT Fuel Transfer Valve. (2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S) from the electrical harness, to release the electrical connectors (4) and (11).
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) If the actuator (3) of the ACT Fuel Transfer Valve (1) is unserviceable, replace the ACT Transfer-Valve Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-400-001).
(6) If the ACT Fuel Transfer Valve (1) has a failure in the open position, replace the ACT Fuel Transfer Valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-33-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-33-400-001).
(7) If the fault continues:
- install the removed actuator (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-400-001),
- trouble shoot the Fuel Transfer-Valve as applicable TSM 28-28-00-810-841 TSM 28-28-00-810-804 .
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
A. Reactivation of the ACT fuel-transfer valve NOTE: The subsequent procedure is the same for each installed ACT. Therefore only one procedure is given. Differences between each ACT are given where applicable.
(1) Remove the T720521 TOOL-VALVE LOCKING from the flange of the ACT fuel-transfer valve. (2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S) from the electrical harness to release the electrical connectors (3) and (4).
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) If the actuator (2) of the ACT fuel-transfer valve (1) is unserviceable, replace the ACT transfer-valve actuator (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-400-001).
(5) If the ACT fuel-transfer valve (1) has a failure in the OPEN position, replace the ACT fuel-transfer valve (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-33-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-33-400-001).
(6) If the fault continues:
- Install the removed ACT transfer-valve actuator (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-28-53-400-001)
- Do the troubleshooting procedure of the ACT fuel-transfer valve as applicable TSM 28-28-00-810-841 TSM 28-28-00-810-804.

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Install the Protective Cover on the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-003).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the Main Gear Doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(7) Close the applicable entry in the aircraft technical log book.
Subtask 28-28-00-860-074-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the Protective Cover on the ACT-Equipment Support Door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-003).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the Main Gear Doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(7) Close the applicable entry in the aircraft technical log book.
B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Install the ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the main gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Install the ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the main gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
