3. Job Set-up
Subtask 28-28-00-860-120-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration with Two ACT Installed
(1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) Open the AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Remove the related ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-001).

NOTE: If you do an inspection of the ACT 1 (FWD) you must first remove the ACT 2 (AFT).

(4) Look at the ACT serial number of the related ACT for ACT age.

NOTE: It is important to do a check of the number of flight cycles of the ACT. The number of flight cycles of the related aircraft is not important for the inspection of the ACT.

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-00-220-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Special detailed inspection of the ACT external surface (two ACT installed)

NOTE: The subsequent procedure is the same for each ACT. Therefore only one ACT is given. Any differences between the ACT are given where applicable.

(1) Examine the surface protection of the external rib structure for signs of damage.
(2) Examine the external rib structure of the ACT for scratches, cracks and dents.
(3) Examine the external rib structure of the ACT for signs of corrosion.
(4) Examine the rivets and fasteners for signs of corrosion and make sure that they are not loose or missing.
(5) Reinstall the related ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-001).

NOTE: If you did an inspection of the ACT 1 (FWD) you must also install the ACT 2 (AFT).

5. Close-up
Subtask 28-28-00-410-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
