A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
Subtask 28-28-00-010-123-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Get Access
   (1) Open the left Main Landing Gear (MLG) door for access (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position at the left MLG bay.
   (3) Open the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (4) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the forward cargo compartment.
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-28-00-210-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. General Visual Inspection of the Forward ACT Isolation-Valve for the Closed Position
   (1) Use a LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION for this procedure.
   (2) In the MLG bay, make sure that the position indicator of the forward ACT isolation-valve-actuator (92QH) is in the closed position:
  • The forward ACT isolation-valve is closed when the position indicator of the actuator is in the vertical position.
  • The forward ACT isolation-valve is open when the position indicator of the actuator is in the horizontal position.
   (3) If the forward ACT isolation-valve (236QM) is open, you must do this procedure:
ACTION
RESULT
1.In the cockpit on circuit breaker panels 49VU and 121VU:
  • Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
  • 60QH FUEL FWD ISOL VLV MOT1 CTL
  • 70QH FUEL/FUEL FWD/ISOL VLV/MOT2 CTL.

2.In the forward cargo compartment, on the ceiling:
  • Find the electrical interfaces of the ACT FWD ASM 284200, connectors 3510VC and 3511VC.

3.On connectors 3510VC and 3511VC:
  • Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors
  • Install a shunt in pin 4 and pin 5 of connector 3510VC
  • Install a shunt in pin 12 and pin 13 of connector 3511VC.
NOTE: This is to simulate that ACT FWD is installed in the forward cargo compartment.
At the MLG bay, on the forward ACT isolation-valve-actuator (92QH):
  • The indicator of the actuator moves to the closed position (vertical position).
4.In the cockpit on circuit breaker panels 49VU and 121VU:
  • Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
  • 60QH FUEL FWD ISOL VLV MOT1 CTL
  • 70QH FUEL/FUEL FWD/ISOL VLV/MOT2 CTL.

5.You must safetied these circuits breakers with the clamps and the lockwire before the aircraft goes for servicing without an ACT in the forward cargo compartment.

6.On the ceiling of the forward cargo compartment, at the electrical interfaces of ACT FWD, on connectors 3510VC and 3511VC:
  • Remove the shunt from pin 4 and pin 5 of connector 3510VC
  • Remove the shunt from pin 12 and pin 13 of connector 3511VC
  • Install blanking caps on the electrical connectors.
At the MLG bay, on the forward ACT isolation-valve-actuator (92QH):
  • Make sure that the indicator of the actuator stays in the closed position (vertical position).
5. Close-up
Subtask 28-28-00-410-084-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Close the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (4) Close the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
Subtask 28-28-00-860-240-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
