CAUTION: DO NOT REFUEL OR DEFUEL THROUGH THE TWO REFUEL/DEFUEL COUPLINGS AT THE SAME TIME. THIS IS TO PREVENT PRESSURE DIFFERENCE PROBLEMS.

Subtask 28-28-00-860-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Remove the ACT from the aft cargo-compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-001).
   (3) Remove the manhole covers from the ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-37-000-001).
   (4) Remove the bladder tank from the ACT CMM 281139.
Subtask 28-28-00-860-281-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Remove the applicable ACT(s) from the aft cargo compartment:
     (a) Remove ACT AFT 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-003).
     (b) Remove ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-002).
   (3) Remove the manhole covers from the ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-37-000-001).
   (4) Send the ACT to the workshop for the removal of the bladder tank.

WARNING: ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK.
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE YOUR RESPIRATOR WHILE YOU ARE IN A FUEL TANK (UNLESS THE FUEL-GAS CONCENTRATION IS LESS THAN 5% OF LEL (LOWER EXPLOSIVE LIMIT)). YOU WILL BECOME ILL OR DIE.
WARNING: USE THE APPROVED PROTECTIVE CLOTHING WHEN YOU GO IN A FUEL TANK.
WARNING: DO NOT GO INTO A FUEL TANK UNTIL THE FUEL-GAS CONCENTRATION IS LESS THAN 10% OF THE APPLICABLE LEL (LOWER EXPLOSIVE LIMIT) (OR LESS THAN THE LOCAL REGULATORY-AUTHORITY LIMIT).
A. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Internal ACT Structure.
NOTE: The applicable CMM task for the examination of the ACT Structure also obeys this inspection task.
   (1) Make sure you have sufficient light in the ACT to examine the internal surface of the ACT.
   (2) Examine the surface of the walls, ceiling and base inside of the ACT for cracks, corrosion and any other damage.
   (3) Examine the hooks and fasteners of the bladder tank and make sure that they are not loose or missing.
   (4) Examine the ACT for any signs of leakage.
NOTE: Cracks or other damages are not permitted.
   (5) Limits for found scratches and dents on the ACT structure are given in the applicable CMM 281135 and CMM 281139.

B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Internal ACT Structure.
NOTE: The subsequent procedure is the same for all the ACT(s). Thus, only one ACT is given.
   (1) Make sure that you have sufficient light in the ACT to examine the internal surface of the ACT.
   (2) Examine the surface of the walls, the ceiling and the bottom of the ACT for cracks, corrosion and signs of other damage.
   (3) Examine the hooks and the fasteners of the bladder tank and make sure that they are not loose or missing.
   (4) Examine the ACT for signs of leakage.
NOTE: Other damage or cracks are not permitted.

Subtask 28-28-00-410-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
NOTE: An inspection of the bladder tank refer to CMM is necessary before you install the bladder tank in the ACT.
Examine the maximum lifetime limit of the different bladder tank manufacturers.
Airbus recommends to replace the bladder tank in 12 year periods or if you found signs of damage on it.
   (2) Install the bladder tank in the ACT CMM 281139.
   (3) Install the manhole covers on the ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-37-400-001).
   (4) Install the ACT in the aft cargo-compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-001).
Subtask 28-28-00-410-098-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Make sure that the limits for found scratches and dents on the ACT structure are examined before you install the bladder tank.
   (3) Install the bladder tank of the ACT in the workshop.
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you:
  • Refer to CMM for an inspection of the bladder tank before you install it in the ACT
  • Examine the maximum lifetime limit of the different bladder tank manufacturers
  • Replace the bladder tank in a period of 12 years or if you found signs of damage on it.
   (4) Install the manhole covers on the ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-37-400-001).
   (5) Install the applicable ACT(s) in the aft cargo compartment:
     (a) Install ACT AFT1 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-002).
     (b) Install ACT AFT2 (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-003).
